After graduating from Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree, Dr. Streko completed the required course of education and training at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, earning his D.M.D. in 1978. Upon completion of his educational training, he moved into a three-year residency program at the National Institute of Healths Public Service Department.
Throughout his career, Dr. Streko has maintained his skills in the area of general dentistry as well as cosmetic dentistry. He has completed hundreds of hours in continuing education, graduating from the prestigious Las Vegas Institute (LVI) and gaining accreditation from the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. His additional memberships include:
Dr. Strekos continued education has also included advanced training in the Invisalign treatment protocol. He is a Preferred Invisalign Provider in the Westfield, New Jersey area committed to personalized care using innovative technology. Dedicated to his patients, his peers, and his community, Dr. Streko instructs on the use of Botox and soft tissue fillers for the American Academy of Facial Aesthetics, and he teaches at Union Countys Overlook Hospital. He serves as Volunteer for Give Back a Smile in New Jersey, a program by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry in which battered women receive free dental treatments.
She went on to receive her Bachelors Degree in Education from Northeastern University in 1989. In 1990, Dr. OConnell was in Ancona, Italy, overseeing the implementation of a dental hygiene program she designed. Returning to the United States, Dr. OConnell continued her education, earning her doctorate in dentistry in 1999 from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Her residency was completed at the East Orange Veterans Hospital in New Jersey.
As a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the New Jersey Dental Association, Dr. OConnell is currently expanding her knowledge through continuing education at the Las Vegas Institute, where she is studying Neuromuscular Dentistry.

The best dentist ever! My son's treatment is now completed with his Invisalign and his teeth look amazing. He smiles a lot more now! Dr. Sawhney is wonderful with children.

I've been seeing Dr. Streko for over 10 years. Since then my family also became his patients. We have all been very pleased with his professionalism and service. Dr.Streko is caring and has been there for me when I have had emergencies and has made special considerations when I have needed to see him. I recommend Dr.Streko to anyone in need of a dentist that they can trust. He has a great staff (always nice) and Syliana the hygienist will leave your teeth feeling super clean!

Dr. Streko has been a saving grace! His staff members are extremely polite and immediately scheduled a consultation. Upon my first visit, Dr. Streko was caring and thorough to make sure he understood my situation completely. I finally have answers and relief that I have been searching for the past 3 years. I cannot say enough good things about him, his staff, and the office in general. The office space is very clean and they take extra precautions due to COVID-19. I have already recommended family and friends because he is truly the best of the best!

Dr. O'Connell was absolutely amazing and helped me tremendously. I came in for an emergency visit and she really put me at ease. She is extremely knowledgeable and very caring. She not only helped me feel better physically, but also mentally. She took her time with me, explained everything, and made sure I got some relief for an issue that is not easily corrected. I truly appreciate everything she did for me. Finding a good dentist is extremely hard and I will drive an hour to come back and see her. Truly cannot say enough good things about Dr. O'Connell.

My experience with Dr. Streko and his staff was literally a "Life changer" Their skill, compassion and professionalism are unmatched by any other dental experience I have ever had. I mistakenly hit four stars 5 stars was my intention I'd have given 6 but was not an option

Dr. Streko and Dr.O'Connell are amazing , I would never go to anyone else . The staff is wonderful too , so accommodating and friendly . No one likes to go to the dentist but since you have to this is where you want to be .
