After graduating from Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree, Dr. Streko completed the required course of education and training at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, earning his D.M.D. in 1978. Upon completion of his educational training, he moved into a three-year residency program at the National Institute of Healths Public Service Department.
Throughout his career, Dr. Streko has maintained his skills in the area of general dentistry as well as cosmetic dentistry. He has completed hundreds of hours in continuing education, graduating from the prestigious Las Vegas Institute (LVI) and gaining accreditation from the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Strekos continued education has also included advanced training in the Invisalign treatment protocol. He is a Preferred Invisalign Provider in the Westfield, New Jersey area committed to personalized care using innovative technology. Dedicated to his patients, his peers, and his community, Dr. Streko instructs on the use of Botox and soft tissue fillers for the American Academy of Facial Aesthetics, and he teaches at Union Countys Overlook Hospital. He serves as Volunteer for Give Back a Smile in New Jersey, a program by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry in which battered women receive free dental treatments.
She went on to receive her Bachelors Degree in Education from Northeastern University in 1989. In 1990, Dr. OConnell was in Ancona, Italy, overseeing the implementation of a dental hygiene program she designed. Returning to the United States, Dr. OConnell continued her education, earning her doctorate in dentistry in 1999 from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Her residency was completed at the East Orange Veterans Hospital in New Jersey.
As a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the New Jersey Dental Association, Dr. OConnell is currently expanding her knowledge through continuing education at the Las Vegas Institute, where she is studying Neuromuscular Dentistry.
