Cavities and small fractures can cause much larger issues if left untreated. In the past, metal restorations called amalgam fillings (or silver fillings) served a need but left many teeth discolored and strained from the wedging effect of the metal. Today, tooth-colored composite resins blend into the tooth structure and are chemically bonded to the tooth providing a strong, permanent restoration.
Composites serve both functional and aesthetic roles, often at the same time. For example, a cavity invading the front of a tooth along the gum line may be visible in your smile line. By gently cleaning out the soft, discolored area and replacing it with a tooth-colored filling, the tooth is restored and looks better than ever.
Composites contain a mix of liquid resin embedded with finely ground glass particles. After being molded to the prepared tooth structure, a blue light applied directly to the composite hardens the filling material within seconds. Once its shaped and polished to a high shine, the restoration is complete.

Theres a lot of diagnostic work and careful planning that goes into a treatment plan that includes veneers. Models, photographs, and digital x-rays allow you and the doctor to create a perfect blueprint to guide your treatment from start to finish. Like all successful projects, this planning can't be compromised. Dr. Bui will consider your input and incorporate your desires into your veneer case, from color to shape and everything in between.
The doctor will create temporary restorations that mimic the veneers, which youll wear for up to three weeks. These temporaries provide a preview of your new smile and lets you try it out to see if any further changes are needed.

The pandemic this year has changed the way we greeted our patients and practiced dentistry. We could no longer shake hands, hug and share a smile! Mask, face shield, long gown, scrub cap are the protective barriers now! However, the loving care to our patients are still the same! They still could see the warm smile in our eyes!
To protect our patients and our team, we have also followed safety protocols from CDC and ADA. We only see one patient or one family in office at a time; then the front door is locked behind. A customized shield is placed at the front desk reception area. Surgical Air Jade and Humidifier air purifier are placed in treatment rooms to kill the virus!

I moved from PA to VA in 2019 and had to find a new dentist in a new area. I am SO glad my search led me to Dr. Bui and her team! They are so kind, schedule you as soon as you need it, and do amazing work with 0 pain. I am very particular about my teeth and I trust Dr. Bui 100%. My family and I have been patients of Dr Bui's for over 10 years. She has always done an excellent job with whatever we've needed from routine cleanings, fillings, veneers, and most recently a crown. She makes sure each procedure is as painless as possible and has always been personable each time we've been to see her. I also enjoyed her previous assistant Maria who has since retired, but her replacement Kat is very kind as well. Pamela at the front desk is awesome:) Thanks to all of them and I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants a highly capable dentist and staff. Great experience!

There is no dentist better than this! The front office admin Pamela is the sweetest thing. When I first called to make an appointment I did not realize it was a few minutes before closing and she never made me feel like I was an inconvenience. The dental assistant Kat is so kind and made you feel so comfortable about everything. I love talking to her every time I come in. And Dr. Bui-Nguyen is AMAZING. She made my entire experience pain free. From someone who neglected their teeth for a few years, she will never shame you or make you feel bad about your oral health. She explains everything so thoroughly, you are not left with any wondering questions when you are in the chair or when you leave. I will be coming here for years to come. Dr. Bui and her staff are professional, accommodating, and thorough in all aspects of her practice. Dr. Bui is clearly knowledgeable and passionate about dentistry and goes above and beyond to make her patients feel happy with their dental care. I tend to get nervous in the dentist's chair and Dr. Bui makes me feel comfortable by patiently answering my (sometimes) basic or random questions about my teeth and/or dentistry and by comprehensively explaining what she's about to do in layman's terms before putting any instrument in my mouth. She continues to impress me with her thoughtfulness in planning my short term and long-term dental needs and with how patient she is with me. Additionally, she and her staff take COVID-19 very seriously and the protocols she implemented in her office make me feel safe. Overall, I think Dr. Bui has established a true family practice where she's looking to create long-lasting relationships with patients and keeps her patients' both short and long-term health in focus. She's the best!

I found Dr. Bui via google maybe 5-8 years ago. I had about 7 cavities for her to fill and she was very meticulous! Every filling was painless. Even when I moved to Falls Church I would still come to Manassas twice a year to see Dr.Bui. I highly recommend her. I will be going to her forever :)

Just being honest - I went almost 10 years without seeing a dentist out of fear. My wife jokingly called me a "dental fugitive'" for cancelling so many appointments. Even with such a gap in care, Dr. Bui and her team made me feel comfortable from the very start. Going to the dentist is never easy (especially for me) but I now keep bi-annual appointments with Dr. Bui. It is now such an amazing feeling to walk out of the dentist. Our whole family greatly appreciates Dr. Bui and her team! Also, mindful of our needs and our insurance providers. Regardless of how long it has been - go see her! You will not find someone better.

I have been a patient of Dr. Bui's practice for the past few years and highly recommend her. Dr. Bui is by far the best dentist I have ever seen. She is extremely knowledgeable, thorough and always takes the time to explain the dental care she provides. Both Dr. Bui and her hygienist, Maria, are kind, reassuring and gentle. The receptionist does a fabulous job and she and Dr. Bui even fit me in last minute when a tooth suddenly starting bothering me. The office is nice and was recently renovated and the equipment is state of the art. Dr. Bui and her team have implemented all of the required COVID-19 measures (only 1 person/family in the office at a time, temperature checks, sanitizing, disinfecting, using masks, shields and PPE, etc.) and go above and beyond to ensure the safety of patients.
