My kids complain about practically everything, but they never complain about a visit to Dr. Richardson! She is wonderfully compassionate, incredibly knowledgeable, and most importantly for my kids, a lot of FUN! Dr. Richardson is always happy to take the time to explain what I need to know in clear language that is never condescending. Her staff is also very kind and helpful. Would never consider taking my kids to anyone else!

My three children have been seeing Dr. Richardson for over 16 years (and we travel all the way from Lombard!), and when it comes to going to the dentist, they still say - when is my appointment? And they look forward to it. She pulled a tooth when my daughter was 7 so skillfully that my daughter didn't think she even "got a shot". My son broke his two front teeth on a Friday night 2 years ago; Dr. Tehemina saw him first thing Saturday morning and installed his fake teeth that are still going strong and she continues to monitor them. I recommend her to everyone I know!

Dr Richardson has been out pediatric dentist for almost a decade now and has been an absolute joy to have. All of my three children have been treated for several dental issues and have never had a bad experience. She is an excellent dentist and a very dedicated professional. I've recommended her several times to friends and family and will continue to do so!

My daughter has medical trauma as a result of a medically complex beginning. Dr. Tehemina Richardson is the best pediatric dentist we've ever seen. From the very first visit, Dr. Richardson met C where she was, explaining in an age-appropriate way (which has evolved over 8 years) every step of every cleaning and x-ray. She arranged for only the best orthodontic and oral surgical care when needed. My daughter considers her a "magical fairy unicorn" of a doctor. She is the best of the best. And her staff is as kind and caring as she is.

I have to admit I judge dentists with a critical eye as my father who lives in another state is the best dentist I know. And hands down Dr. Richardson is the ABSOLUTE BEST pediatric dentist. I am so grateful for her. My kids absolutely love her and look forward to going to see her. How many children have you met look forward to going to see their dentist??? She is that good with kids. In fact she is their favorite doctor. We love her so much that even when she left Chicago to start her practice in Park Ridge we followed her. Her and her team are amazing and you could not put your children in better hands.

From the moment we stepped into Dr. Richardson office we were welcomed as if we were family by her and her staff. As soon as Dr. Richardson met our son, she sat on the floor, took his hands, and began interacting with him as if she was a big sister to our Autistic son. She was talking to him and asking all kinds of questions all the while looking to establish a connection so that our son could feel comfortable for the visit that day. My wife and I are convinced that Dr. Richardson totally understands special needs. She was humane and loving, not fake. Dr. Richardson talked to us and our son with kindness, compassion and understanding. She took her time to get to know Stefan and his exact needs. She was patient and totally tuned into us as we discussed Stefan's history and needs. Our son has strong instincts about people. Within minutes, he took to Dr. Richardson and her loving, caring, and respectable approach. As such, our son did everything she asked him to do and Dr. Richardson was very patient during moments of his procedure where he might have felt uncomfortable or uneasy. If our son began showing any discomfort, she would lovingly wait on him, and once comfortable she would proceed toward successful completion of the work done. During the visit, my wife got emotional about how well our son did with Dr. Richardson. She asked for my wife to give her a big hug and said to her, "YOUR NOT ALONE. I GET IT. I TOO HAVE A SPECIAL NEEDS CHILD". Dr. Richardson is truly special. It's not all that common these days to find someone who loves and really cares about what they do, but Dr. Richardson SHINES in pediatrics dentistry. She has a gift. I would undoubtedly and without reservation recommend her a million times over.

I am taking my children to a different dentist as a result of Dr Richardson's decision to not inform me of a treatment plan for my daughter's cavities. She made the decision by herself not to treat a cavity. She had no notes of whether she spoke with the children's mother or myself when I questioned her on it. This decision resulted in further decay and may end up forcing a more invasive procedure. I recommend one look elsewhere for treatment for their children.
