Growing up in rural Southern Oregon, Dr. Timm Chaffee was raised under a simple principle: use what youve been given to bless and help those around you. This was clearly modeled for him at the age of eight, when his familys best friends were lost in tragic car accident. Loving through their grief, Dr. Timms parents welcomed the children of their closest companions into their lives growing their family by three. It was an act that lit a fire for service in his heart. Able to hone in on his career path in the years that followed, and Dr. Timm found his true calling in dentistry. It had the art component he had always cherished, the human interaction dimension he loved, and supplied him the means to serve his community.

Dr. Timm attended dental school at Oregon Health and Sciences University in Portland, Oregon where he first met Dr. Tal at student orientation. This friendship grew throughout the next four years as did his relationship with Dr. Dan. It was during these years that Dr. Timm learned more than anything the importance of not only dentistry, but the compassion, companionship, and trust that must exist between patients and their care providers; the two must treat each other as family.

Upon graduation from OHSU, Dr. Timm and his family moved to Billings, Montana where he had been accepted into Lutheran Medical Center Advanced Education In General Dentistry (AEGD) Residency. Here, Dr. Timm sharpened his skills in both the breadth and depth of clinical dentistry. He was trained in the full scope of dental medicine and was able to focus his practice towards his specific areas of interest. Most important, he strengthened his foundation of providing empathetic and excellent care for all patients and reaffirmed his goals to incorporate these values into his office culture.

In 2017 Dr. Timms close friends, the Drs. Gafni, invited him to leave his well-established practice in Seattle, WA to join forces with the dental Brothers. It was a great opportunity for these friends to convert their shared love of people, dentistry and healing culture to provide top-level care for the Phoenix community.

Outside of the dental office, Dr. Timm can be composing music and attending local art installations and community events. He is at home in the outdoors and any season will find him and his family adventuring: whitewater rafting in southern Oregon, cliff diving in Sedona, backpacking in the North Cascades or enjoying the trails near home.

At the Dental Brothers, each person in our organization has been chosen for specific advanced-skillsets, genuine qualities, and sincere abilities, that add ultimate value to your patient experience. You will find that each one these individuals expresses their true desire to ensure that your needs are met at the highest level possible.

A full set of dentures allows for about 10% of chewing capacity compared to a full set of natural teeth. This means a softer diet which may eliminate some of the foods that you are accustomed to eating.

The adhesives to keep the dentures in place are also a hassle to manage and not 100% effective. Its no wonder denture wearers are extremely self-conscious and reluctant to socialize. Without natural or artificial tooth roots, your jaw will begin to shrink due to bone loss. This will cause your dentures to become ill fitting and slick making it difficult and painful to eat.

Over time a shrinking jaw bone ultimately changes the shape of your face. Your mouth and jaw will appear to collapse. Your lips will seem thinner. And your skin will begin to wrinkle especially in the areas around your mouth and neck. Without an adequate amount of bone, it will be difficult to wear dentures and eventually even dental implants might not be a viable option.

Missing and/or poorly-aligned teeth can cause problems with chewing which can lead to digestive problems. A bad bite can irritate exposed gum tissue and can cause grinding and possibly crack or break teeth. It can also cause jaw pain.

Missing teeth may cause the speaker to whistle a bit with the force of air coming out of the mouth during speech. The speaker may unconsciously use the tongue to minimize the whistle, which will cause affected speech.

At Dental Brothers, were experienced with implants for a single tooth replacement up to an entire set of teeth. We offer great options for patients who need only minor dental reconstruction and to people who currently wear dentures but are looking for a stronger, more aesthetically pleasing solution.

For those patients who need to replace all their teeth, Dental Brothers offers a treatment option which provides a patient with a full set of replaced teeth using only four implants and can often be completed in a single office visit.

Before any surgery takes place a comprehensive patient evaluation, pre-operative diagnostics including X-raysand therapy planning are required. The procedure is not recommended for children as the jawbone may not have completed its full growth in youngsters.

An irregular jawbone shape, hard tissue growths or previous reconstructive work may complicate the procedure and must be taken into consideration. The doctor will also evaluate any patient risks to the post-surgery healing process such as diabetes, cigarette smoking or infections in the neighboring tissues.

This word is derived from Greek and Latin root words for bone and to make whole. The concept applies to the anchor structure for the implant eventually becoming part of the bone. One of the innovative aspects of the PALTOP implant system is that bone cells actually attach themselves to the titanium implant anchor, essentially fusing the implant into the jaw bone. The surface of the implant contains micro-surface structures to accelerate the rate of bonding with the bone surface.
