Dr. Talaber was born in Hungary and grew up in Olympia, Washington. He received his degree in biology from St. Martins University, having also attended Pacific Lutheran University and The Evergreen State College. He is a graduate of Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston and began his practice in 1985. Dr. Talaber is a member of the American Dental Association and the Washington State Dental Association. He is a past-president of and currently serves on the executive committee of the Thurston-Mason County Dental Society and a member of the West Olympia Rotary.
Dr. Talaber feels volunteering is a way to give back to our community -- a way of saying thank you to his patients. Participating in the Smilemobile program, serving on the board of the Headstart program, and having volunteered in an overseas dental program has been a joy to be a part of, says Dr. Talaber.

Dr. Talaber thoroughly examine patients ' existing teeth and bones, upper and lower jaws and gum tissues before recommending implants. Implants replace the roots of lost teeth and are inserted under the gums. After 3-6 months, the bones grow around and adapt to implants as if they were natural roots. Once the implants are firmly in place and the surrounding gum tissue is strong, they are ready to support a crown or restored tooth. When the process is completed, the 'new' teeth are often hard to tell apart from a patient 's original teeth.
If the implant site does not have enough bone volume to support the appropriate sized implant, you will need a bone graft. Bone loss can be the result from periodontal disease, injuries, cysts, infections or an extracted tooth. Normally, it can be determined if you will need a bone graft from your x-ray prior to surgery, but in some cases it is not discovered until opening the implant site.

This is the hardest review I have ever had to post online and mind you I don't do a lot of reviews. I discovered this dental facility back in 2019. I went back for a clean in 2021 and had a couple of issues with scheduling. To make a long story short, I called and spoke with one of the front desk ladies and scheduled an appoint about a month out. I had to be up at 6:00AM in order to get there on time for my appointment. Upon arrival, I proceeded to check in and the lady in the front asked what my name was. By this time she was not in front of her computer she was standing up a little away from the desk top. Somehow, without even looking at her screen to check who I was, she told me that I was not on the schedule. I let her know I had received an email confirmation a few days prior to the day of the visit. She still insisted I was not supposed to be there. This woman did not even offer to see what she can do to reschedule, neither did she offer an apology for the inconvenience. I even showed her my confirmation on my phone and that did not help. From her body language, she just wanted me out of the office without an explanation. I took a day off to get this cleaning done and I was completely shocked by the treatment I received. As I made my way to the front to exit the office, I overheard her apologizing to a gentleman who was sitting in the waiting area. I went back to my car and sat for a few minutes to digest what had just happened. I literally almost had an emotional breakdown. I decided to write an email to The Dr. himself to let him be aware of what happened. Days went by and I did not get a call back or response. I called again to get some answers and did not get any. This should have never happened. I still till this day have never received any response. I will never go back to this dental facility again. Poor communication, no professionalism and don't' give a damn when issues arises. My advise is, do your research before you decide to visit these people.

Dr Talaber and the staff were awesome. They were able to work with my schedule and get me in the same day. everyone was very friendly and the doc did a great job at explaining everything that was going on with my problem and made the time to answer all my questions. Would 100% recommend.

I am a new patient at Dr. T's dental practice and have had two crowns repaired, 2 old fillings and a few cracked teeth repaired in the last 2 months What a great experience with Dr. T and his staff! Dr. T is very good and cares a lot about patient comfort. Much appreciated Dr. T. HIs assistants are friendly and efficient. And Shelly is super with her knowledge about insurance coverages and billings. I recommend Dr. T and his whole office staff. I hope to be a patient there for many years to come.

The schedule was not flexible to get me and I asked to have the dentist call me so he knew he was losing a client. No call back no response. They did not keep my records for night guard and wanted me to pay another $600 for a new one. Not feeling the love with this office customers service was terrible.
