Dr. Susan Jarakian, known affectionately by her patients as Dr. Susie, established her pediatric dental practice, Kids Choice Dental in Northridge, CA in 2009. Born and raised in the San Fernando Valley, she received her bachelors degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2000. Dr. Jarakian earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Southern California, School of Dentistry in 2004. She continued her specialty education at Boston Universitys Goldman School of Dental Medicine where she completed her pediatric residency in 2006. Upon her return to the San Fernando Valley, she worked as a pediatric dentist associate in Porter Ranch for the next three years.

Dr. Jarakian reaches out to the community by conducting dental education workshops to children and teachers in schools. She has volunteered with the San Fernando Valley Dental Society and was the 2012 Program Chair and 2013 Chair of the New Dentist Committee. Dedicated to the oral health of children, she has led numerous dental missions in Southern California and Massachusetts, as well as Belize, and Armenia. She is an active member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, San Fernando Valley Dental Society, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, California Society of Pediatric Dentistry, and Armenian American Medical Society.

Dr. Susie lives in the San Fernando Valley with her husband Gevork Kazanchyan and their son Vonn. She is fluent in Armenian and her hobbies include cooking, nature walks, fishing, and running 5Ks with her Kids Choice Dental Team.

Following her retirement from Los Angeles United School District after thirty years, Vergine joined Kids Choice Dental in 2009. She brings with her a wealth of experiences working with parents and children. In her new role as the office manager, she loves to meet and greet new-and-existing patients with her big smile. She enjoys cooking, family outings, get-togethers with friends and colleagues, and travel. She is fluent in Armenian and Arabic.

Hello, my name is Tyisha and I have been the front office scheduling and treatment coordinator for Kids Choice Dental since 2019. I have had several years of experience working in dental offices but now I am most excited to be in a pediatric dental office. Born and raised in Pasadena and having also lived in Oxnard for 8 years, I love nature, hiking, and have fond memories of visiting Ventura beach. When not at work, I enjoy spending quality time with my son and family, cooking, playing games and listening to music. The best part of my job is helping kids overcome their fear of going to the dentist by explaining everything in a step by step process. In my spare time I enjoy reading and going to the movies.
