For your benefit and convenience, comprehensive dental care is available for new and existing families in the Aquidneck Island community and beyond. Although the number of patients in our growing practice is constantly on the rise, we welcome the opportunity to meet with you and to have you join our dental family.
From grandpas denture, to moms cosmetic veneer, to fixing Jacks chipped front tooth after a playground tumble, our office is ready to serve your individual and/or family needs. Through our experienced hygiene department, we promote and offer fundamental oral hygiene services for every patient. Should a problem be diagnosed, our doctors and dental assistants are then prepared to restore ones health through a variety of treatment options and services. In the end, we take great care in the treatment we provide and pride in the professional and social relationships that we develop with our patients.
We enjoy watching our youngest patients learn the ways of good hygiene and oral health. In addition to childrens preventative care, we can help them restore health by offering fillings, extractions, and more. If your child requires an orthodontic evaluation or complex pediatric care, we will be happy to refer you to appropriate specialist.
After completing dental school at Tufts University and a one-year residency in General Dentistry at Hartford Hospital, Dr. Patil came to Middletown, RI in the fall of 2000 and joined Dr. Moodys practice. Soon thereafter, he blended his style and vision into those already in place, marking the inception of Aquidneck Avenue Family Dental. 20 years later as the ower and primary dentist, the practice continues to grow under his leadership and thrive from the many satisfied patients referring their family, friends, and co-workers to him.
Dr. Patil takes great care to make sure his patients are informed and comfortable before, during, and after treatment. He caters to his patients, from the youngest to the most seasoned, with a lighthearted, caring, and thorough approach. After answering every question, sharing a laugh, and discussing post-treatment instructions, patients find themselves leaving with smiles and handshakes.
Dr. Patil and his family reside in North Kingstown, RI. His wife of 19 years, 13-year-old daughter, and 11-year-old son keep him on the go, happy, and fulfilled everyday. In his free time, he enjoys coaching soccer, the culinary arts, singing, and cheering on the New York Yankees (a risky admission, knowing the loyalties of most Rhode Islanders).

I had a wonderful experience here yesterday. My dentist retired and was I lead here by a trusted friend. The office is clean, bright, and big. Nancy who was meticulous at cleaning my teeth was warm, friendly, and knowledgeable. The doctor came and gave me a clean bill of health and seemed like he was in No rush to give me a full analysis of what he saw. I'm sure he was in a rush and had many other patients, but he's mastered the art of a proper bedside manner. Great first experience and I'm so happy to have a professional staff so nearby that have my best interest in mind.

I love Dr. Patil's office. Hands down the best dentist I've ever had, from his easy chairside manner to impeccable work on my teeth. The staff at his office is A+ professional. From reception to assistants to hygienists, they are super friendly and welcoming. This office is on their A game @ all times - punctual, skilled, accommodating and enjoyable to be around. Highly recommend - don't be surprised @ being waitlisted for a new patient appointment, however. They are just extremely busy!

Dr. Patil is great! I used to hate the dentist and would get scared to go. Dr. Patil and his team make you feel comfortable and safe. Any procedure I have had has gone smoothly. Highly recommend if you're looking for a new dentist!

Dr Patel and his dental techs, hygienists and administrative staff are amazing! I was new to the practice this past year and needed significant work on my teeth. Each of them took the time to explain everything in detail including my unsustainable insurance, made sure I was comfortable and went out of their way to decrease my anxiety. They are efficient, caring and welcoming every signal time I visit and I would highly recommend!

Such a welcoming office! They talked me through the whole process and what they were going to do before they did it. This is especially nice with everything changing with COVID. I like that the hygienist talked to you while doing the cleaning so you just didn't sit there in complete silence. Also the dentist was so nice and welcoming. He treated me like a person and not just another patient. He even walked me up to the front desk when I left. All around great customer service which seems hard to find these days. I would highly recommend this office.

Just had my first appointment with Elaine and Dr. Patil and my god they are head and shoulders above my regular dentist! I am definitely switching to them as my go to. Elaine was the best hygienist I've ever been too, very gentle but thorough. She did a great job of explaining each process and providing helpful tips to improve my oral health. Dr. Patil was excellent as well, very friendly and knowledgeable. Office environment was extremely clean and professional and they are definitely taking Covid safety as a top priority so you can certainly feel comfortable going there!

Just went for my semi annual cleaning and I felt very safe. The way they are conducting business is refreshing in these uncertain times. My dental hygienist Brooke is just awesome. If you need dental work and are fearful of contracting covid-19 come here for your work you will feel and be safe.

I recently had 3 fillings redone with Dr Patil. All in one sitting. It was quick and painless. Not only did it go well, this was the first time I did not require touch ups on filling work. After a week, everything still felt right. I highly recommend going here for all your dental needs.

Dr. Patil leads a staff of terrific people. Like him, all of them are professional, calm, and caring about their patients. Dr. Patil explains everything clearly so you can understand what he is going to do. And then he and his staff do it while making you feel comfortable and cared for. I highly recommend AAFD!
