Dr. Steven Haywood attended the University of Michigan where he received his undergraduate botany degree before moving on to the University of Detroit where he graduated Cum Laude with his dental school class of 1987. He was selected for admission to the United States Air Force advanced residency program at Sheppard AFB in Texas.
Working closely with specialists for the next five years, Dr. Haywood completed postgraduate internships in oral surgery, orthodontics, endodontics, pediatric dentistry, and oral facial prosthodontics.
Dr. Haywood completed his cosmetic post-graduate training at the prestigious New York Universitys Aesthetic Continuum in 1996 and 1997, studying under the world renowned Drs. Larry Rosenthal and Ross Nash. His advanced TMJ and reconstructive training is ongoing with the Peter Dawson Institute, and the Renowned Dr. Jack Turbyfill. Dr. Haywood is also currently the only Elite Invisalign provider in Baltimore offering full comprehensive dental care.
Dr. Haywood is one of the few cosmetic dentists nationwide to be selected to perform an extreme smile makeover on ABC. He has also been featured in the Baltimore Sun, Baltimore Magazine, New Beauty Magazine and in the York Daily Record for his expertise in cosmetic dentistry.
Dr. Haywood is a leader in his field, consistently FIRST in his field to provide his patients with current services and technologies. I have made the decision to take my Invisalign journey else where. It just seems like there's always something going on with this dental office. Between having 2 offices in 2 states and random closures, it is extremely difficult and next to impossible to get the level of care and responsiveness required from a health provider. I hope you all reevaluate some things in the new year and get tighter with customer service. Nobody should have to be chasing down their doctor's office before they can get in touch with somebody.

Dr. Haywood is truly the best in the business. Not only is his cosmetic dentistry top notch but his ortho and perio skills are unmatched as well. I first came to see him for a second opinion when a periodontist wanted to charge me $4,000 to treat my gum disease. He only charged me $500 to do the exact same procedure. Since then I've had gum grafts, tongue surgery, invisalign, crowns, cosmetic bonding and my usual cleanings and check-ups. His prices are very reasonable especially for his level of skill and he will work with you if you're on a budget. All his staff are great and excellent at what they do. It is a wonderful atmosphere there and they treat you like family. If you want the best go see Dr. Haywood and his staff. You'll be glad you did!

Last year I was looking at getting my teeth straightened with invisible aligners! I thought it would be a good time since we were all wearing masks anyways. Dr. Steven Haywood was reasonably priced for Invisalign compared to other places and had an express option! I was done with my treatment in about 8 months and I am so happy with the results! I added before and after photos. Oh and he offers whitening gel with the treatment!

Dr. Haywood is a Master Craftsman, he's not your average dentist. He is also very engaging and he and Madi make me feel comfortable and confident in their care. The result? I no longer dread going to the dentist. Because he is so experienced and knowledgeable, he provides dental care that goes above and beyond that provided by any other dentist I have gone to over the years. 5+ Stars for Dr. Haywood!

I am about 6 months in of my Invisalign process and everything has been great and I am definitely noticing changes. The entire team, esp. Ulyana has been so helpful since the start and made the process so seamless! Thank you!

I had a wonderful experience at Dr. Haywood's office. I haven't always had good experiences with dentists, so I was definitely anxious, especially with it being a root canal. The staff there were all so friendly and they all took the time to answer any questions I had and help put my mind at ease. Dr. Haywood always took his time to answer questions and explain things to me. He took care of my root canal and fixed two fillings that weren't done well. It went so well and I will definitely be back.

Dr. Haywood and his staff, consistently go above and beyond the duties we have become accustomed to when being treated for dental maintenance and dental issues. I was not seen by my regular dentist during the pandemic and knew that I was beginning to have multiple problem areas with both teeth and gums. I was very nervous to sit in a dental chair again and knew that getting an appointment would take some time. Dr. Haywood changed that for me after our first visit! I registered online for an appointment and received a call the very next morning to set up an appointment. Dr. Haywoods assessment was extremely thorough. Through an in office CT scan he was able to visualize exactly where and what the issues were and areas to carefully monitor. I was then given a treatment plan with several different options and precise explanations for each treatment. Dr. Haywood and his staff listen to your questions and concerns, answer them so that your able to grasp the whys, how's, and when's. When they say that they will get back to you, they always do! Dr. Haywoods office is extremely clean with a very relaxing atmosphere. I'm so very grateful to have found Dr. Haywood and his team and am looking forward to having my overall health restored as I move thru our treatment plan!

I've never been to a better dentist! Dr. Haywood helped me heal long term gum disease I had been battling and he even corrected mistakes past dentists had made in my mouth. There were no unnecessary treatments or X-rays, only what's absolutely necessary. He has a great holistic/ natural line of products and is very knowledgeable about them. My overall health is much improved by the dental work I received here! It was definitely a great move to see Dr. Haywood. He explains what he's doing so you're aware of what's happening in your mouth before and after he treats you. Dr. Haywood is also personable and made me feel comfortable as a patient. His staff is always very welcoming and friendly as well.

Dr. Haywood and his team are the best! I have been having tooth pain for years and my regular dentist could not determine the problem, but Dr. Haywood saw the issue within 2 minutes of looking at my teeth. I had grinded (ground?) my teeth so bad that the enamel was gone. With some cool technology (a CT scan of my teeth and jaw and camera imaging of my teeth) I was given sealants and a night guard and now I'm good to go! Dr. Haywood has great bed-side manner, and a great personality. He never made me feel rushed or uncomfortable. I could tell he really cares about his patients. I had to have a needle in my mouth for the first time and I was so nervous. He put some numbing gel on first and I didn't feel a thing! I am so glad that I found him.
