I went to Dr. Kobayashi with a cracked tooth. I don't like going to the dentist but he made me feel really comfortable and he looked familiar! The office is beautiful and his staff is very helpful and just so nice. Julie is my hygienist and got me back on track with taking care of my teeth. He's generous and caring. Thank you!
Dental implants are surgical-grade root devices that offer a permanent solution to restore missing or extracted teeth. It lets you smile confidently, eat your favorite food, and speak clearly once again.
Its a popular dental restoration option with Albany residents because it works just like natural teeth and prevents jawbone autotrophy. Besides, its possible to use dental implants to restore a single tooth or an entire smile!
The procedure takes a few months and isnt done overnight or over a few days. It starts with Dr. Kobayashi making an incision in the jaw to place a screw to install and attach the implant into the jawbone to act as your tooth roots.
The abutment needs about a week or two to heal by which time the restoration will also be ready for installation. Thats when you return to our dental office to have the restored crown or bridge permanently attached on the implant.
Well, it saves you time and reduces the possibility of any complications that may arise if two people handle the case. Its because the same person will be doing both tasks, and knows your particular treatment needs.
