Dr. Steven Dold was born and raised in Wichita. He attended Northwest High School and completed his undergraduate studies at Bradley University in Peoria, IL. He earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the Creighton University School of Dentistry in 2012.
While at Bradley University, Dr. Steven met his wife, Ashleigh. You might see any of their four girls Kinslee, Brielle, Adalyn, and Amelia in the office when you visit. The family has two dogs, Meika, a Siberian Husky, and Oliver, a Great Dane. When he is not helping patients, Dr. Steven loves spending time with his family.
You can often find Dr. Steven working out at Orangetheory Fitness in the early mornings. He also enjoys hunting and fishing as well as playing ice hockey in the winter. Another of his favorite hobbies is homebrewing his own beer.
Dr. Steven has a devoted passion for continuing education as the field of dentistry is always advancing. He brings this knowledge back to Wichita for the benefit of his patients. He travels all over the country to attend classes by the best dental clinicians so that he can better improve his patients smiles and their lives.
I have been working with Dr. Steven since he graduated dental school. All the skills that I have as an assistant is thanks to Dr. Steven. He has taken the time to train me how to do many different procedures and has been a patient teacher the entire time. My favorite training so far has been when we went for three days to Phoenix, AZ to place implants on our military Veterans in the area.
Some of my biggest strengths are being bilingual in Spanish and my ability and passion to treat every patient as if they are part of my family. You have my word that I will do my very best to make you feel welcomed, stress free and like a part of our family as a patient.
I graduated from Wichita State University Hygiene program in 2010. I am married and have 2 kiddos: One 22 year old and one 4 year old (quite the differenceI know! Haha!). Most of my career has been under the supervision of Dr. Steven. He is constantly encouraging me to learn new ways to educate our patients and research the most current methods to provide our patients with outstanding care.
I, truly, look forward to coming to work everyday. I love being able to make my patients feel welcome, at ease and like they are part of our family and not just like another person who happens to be on my schedule. Not everyone can say that they actually enjoy their job, but I am in a fortunate enough position to say that I do.
One of Dr. Stevens main goals is to ensure your oral health through preventative dentistry. However, patients sometimes have a tooth suffering from infection, trauma, or decay so extensive that the tooth must be pulled to prevent further problems. Fortunately, having a problem tooth extracted often puts an end to pain and other issues.
At Dold Family Dental, Dr. Steven extracts teeth quickly and with minimal discomfort using Piezosurgery instruments. This technology incises dense tissue, such as teeth and bone, without damaging soft tissue. These advanced methods result in less postoperative discomfort and shortened healing times for our patients.
