Dr. Steve Chapman is originally from Mayfield, Kentucky. After graduating high school, Dr. Chapman attended Murray State University. Dr. Chapman continued his education at the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry. He graduated with a D.M.D. in 1975. He then served in the United States Navy for two years as a Naval Dental Officer before pursuing specialty training in orthodontics. He completed his specialty program at the University of Florida in 1979. Dr. Chapman was the first dentist to complete the orthodontic residency program at the University of Florida.
Dr. Chapman and his wife, Elizabeth, have four children: Wylie, William, Gabrielle, and Isabelle. Dr. Chapman has a son, Brent, who practices general dentistry in Plantation, Florida. Dr. Chapman enjoys spending time with his family along with water skiing, snow skiing, hunting and restoring old knives.
He is a member of St. Johns Orthodontic Study Club. Yearly, he spends several hours attending continuing education courses. Dr. Chapman views orthodontics as fun and challenging. His current plans are to practice at least 20 more years!

We are especially interested in making all our patients feel right at home! We aim to provide energetic and fun-loving service to each patient, and we put your needs first to achieve efficient and comprehensive treatment.
Our staff is trained and skilled, and each member of our team has years of experience in treating patients with the highest level of care. We strive to stay abreast of the very latest in technology and advances by regularly attending continuing education courses and seminars.

Every staff member is exceptional! Friendly, professional and very attentive! My son is third generation Dr. Chapman patient. My son, my father and myself. The experience is just as great now as it was 30 yrs ago. As far as I'm concerned there is no other when it comes to orthodontics!

My first visit to Dr. Chapman today. What a great office. The way the staff works together it's like a well oiled machine! They were so courteous to me, and to each other. It's one of those places where you just know people like their job. And they all seem to really work well with Dr. Chapman who I found to be very thorough, professional, and friendly. I would recommend!

Had 2 children in braces for multiple years here. He was always too rough with them. Because of his shaky hands. After a bad judgment call. On a surgery. Which there were 2 options. I went with what he recommended for her to have. Caused decay of the root next to the tooth. That the surgery had taken place. For financial reasons. I had to let my daughter take a break. From braces. Her tooth with the decayed root was loose. He had placed a bracket on it. And when we came back. He said he wouldn't take her as a patient again. His poor judgement. Will cause my 15 yrs old girl to have a partial. And then an implant. Now he don't want to help. Wish I could find an attorney. For what he has done to her!

Dr. Chapman is my ortho and I give him and his facility 5s. Dr. Chapman is a good man with a kind, soft spoken voice, and a growing knowledge for dentistry. The environment here is very uplifting and positive. I've been going here for almost a year now and I always refer anyone who's asking to Dr. Chapman's office. You won't leave here without a smile

The absolute best! Worth the drive even from Jacksonville! Dr. Chapman was my orthodontist years ago. I'm 23 years old now. I'm still very happy with the results to this day!

I previously had braces yrs ago and had no issues with the staff they were all nice and friendly. Today was the worse visit ever I sat in chair 6 with LEX she had a attitude and was very unprofessional. She rushed on my teeth she walked by the chair and said you can rinse your mouth out talking to me but from a distance then tells me to follow her to the front desk I didn't think she was done with my teeth because she never added my color. So the kind lady at the front desk went to the back to tell her she forgot to put my color on she had a attitude when I sat in the chair she put my head back and was very ruff putting my colors on when she was finish she didn't say Anything she just got up and walked away she was huffing and puffing the entire visit ..I'm very dissatisfied with my visit today I spend too much money here

Dr. Chapman and his staff were amazing! My daughter was nervous, they took the time to explain everything to her and make her comfortable. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful, they made us feel like family :) Scheduling an appointment was easy, and from the time I called to the appointment date was less than a week. Wait time for our appointment (even with COVID-19 precautions) was less than 2 minutes. They were able to start her treatment the same day as her consultation. Hands down THE best experience I've ever had at any medical office! I'm so glad we went to Dr. Chapman and look forward to the rest of our visits there.

The front office is my only complaint. They are not friendly and this is the 2nd time I'm left standing there waiting for them to tell me they are done, while other people are being taken care of. I then asked ,"Are you done with me?" She said ,"Yes!" And I said," Why did you leave me standing here and not tell me?" She shrugged her shoulder and said ,"I didn't know what you were waiting for?" Same response last time This happened to me.
