Dr. Yang grew up in the Seattle area and calls the Northwest home. He graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 1992. For the next for years, he attended the University of Washington School of Dentistry and graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.
Dr. Tsukamoto takes pride in creating beautiful smiles and helping her patients to achieve and maintain good oral health. She loves to see the positive effects that a healthy smile can have on a persons well-being and overall quality of life.
Originally from Tacoma, I now reside in East Renton. I have been working in the dental field since 1990 and joined Dr. Yangs practice in 2007. I enjoy building personal relationships with our patients and getting to know more about them each time they come in. Assisting patients with their financial arrangements, treatment planning, and scheduling are my specialties.
We will be at your side along with the dentist during your office visit. It is our job to make sure you are comfortable throughout your visit and ensure everything goes smoothly. We fully prepare the room and have everything ready. We also assist during the procedure to ensure your dental work is completed as thoroughly, efficiently, and safely as possible.
Dentistry is the perfect career for me because I love to learn new things and getting to know people. I graduated from Highline Community College and went to Pima Medial Institute for dental training. I have been working as a dental assistant since 1998 and have been with Dr. Yangs practice since 2007. Regular dental continuing education courses keep me current with the latest dental technologies and treatments to provide the best care and comfort for our patients. Patients often say that my easy-going attitude makes them feel relaxed and helps them overcome dental anxiety. I often exchange recipes, books, and jokes with my patients as if they were extended family.
Routine dental cleanings are encouraged for our patients as a way to prevent cavities and optimize overall health. Our dental hygienists are ready to make you feel at ease throughout your stay and to help you achieve glowing, natural smiles. We will take X-rays, evaluate your teeth and gums, and provide a thorough dental cleaning with homecare instruction. We can help patients resolve hot and cold sensitivity, tender spots, and/or general dental anxiety so they can feel more comfortable throughout the visit.
I knew from a young age that I wanted to make a career in helping people smile. I found dental hygiene to be the perfect path. I graduated with honors from Eastern Washington University with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene and a minor in Health Sciences. I joined Dr. Yangs practice in 2010. I value giving a gentle yet thorough cleaning, and my goal is a comprehensive, holistic approach to maintaining your overall health.
Born in Mexico and raised in the Northwest, my husband and I and our 3 pets are happy to now call the Renton/Fairwood area home. I am super excited to be part of the team and I love what I do and take pride in building relationships with my patients. I am attentive to each patient's needs while working hard to earn their trust. Outside of work, I love spending time with family. I enjoy running, cycling and traveling as much as I can. But most of all, I love curling up on the couch with my two pups and one little kitty to watch a movie or cheer on the Hawks.

First time patient and it was a great experience! Appreciated the COVID protocols - multiple hand washing stations and patients wait in car until they are ready to have you come in. Also, since it was my first time there, Dr.Yang was very thorough not only checking my x-rays, but just general jaw habits he observed. Found it really informative and everyone (Dr.Yang, assistance, hygienist) all provided info as they were going through the different checks.

Dr. Yang and his staff are professional, kind, and polite. Whether our family has gone in for a routine cleaning or something more complex, they have a very calming effect on us. They keep up with technology and their referrals and recommendations are always right on point. We have been coming to Dr. Yang's office for years. I can't imagine going anywhere else!

THE BEST DENTAL EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD. My dental hygienist was Claudia and she was amazing. Very informative, patient, and sweet. It was clear that "patient comfort" was among her top priorities. This was true of the whole office. From the moment I walked in, I was immediately greeted by reception and escorted to my dental seat, never having had the chance to sit in the lobby. Moreover, I was wonderfully introduced to Claudia, as if I was being handed off to a private concierge. When I met Dr. Yang, he simply continued the standard of excellence and care, always allowing for questions and always explaining what he was doing and why. I'm sold on this place. Amazing experience.

I have been to at least half a dozen dentists in my 50 years, and I gotta say, Dr. Yang is the BEST, hands down! I was in yesterday to have a very old filling repaired, and he and Melissa were awesome! They made me feel as relaxed as is possible for me, as I have an issue with needles. Dr.Yang showed me a breathing technique that helps tremendously as I am getting novocain administered. Also, Rennee is the best at cleaning my teeth. EVERYONE there is so friendly and professional.
