A practicing orthodontist since 1979, Dr. Shepard maintains memberships with the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, Texas Association of Orthodontists, Texas Dental Association, Rio Grande Valley District Dental Society, and the Southwest Society of Orthodontists.
Dr. Shepard attended Trinity University, where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree before graduating from Baylor College of Dentistry with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1977. He continued at Baylor to receive his Certificate in Orthodontics and his Master of Science in Dentistry degree in 1979.

Two generations of Shepards have provided orthodontic care in the Rio Grande Valley area for more than 65 years. We have a history of providing excellent orthodontic treatment in a caring and family-oriented setting. As a 28 year old woman, I was very nervous about starting a journey with braces. Both Dr. Shepard and his staff have been incredible during this whole process. They take great care of me every time I visit. They take the time to address my concerns and answer all of my questions. Their bedside manner is phenomenal and they always have smiles on their faces when I walk through the door. Thank you!

It was easy to schedule and staff was very friendly. My boy went in nervous yet left with a big smile as the process was fun he says. Staff helped him feel at ease and Dr Shepard was very welcoming and friendly!

So far I'm over all satisfied with their work but there are two things that are a little bit of an inconvenience. First well I think they're a little pricey. Second I don't like that they don't take any appointments after 3:15pm. I hate having to take my son out of school early.
