Dr. Steve Parker graduated from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry and has been enhancing smiles with the most up-to-date technology and the best dental materials for 35 years. He has served six times with the Marines and twice aboard ship. He has been the Commanding Officer of Naval Hospital Corps School. He liaised with foreign diplomats to deliver Civic Action Programs in the Philippines and Thailand furthering the reputation of the United States. Dr. Parker also recruited dentists to set up a dental clinic for the homeless at St. Vincent De Paul Shelter in San Diego, CA.
Dr. Parker was a clinical instructor for the Advanced Education for General Dentistry Residency Program at Naval Station Great Lakes. He has been recognized as one of America's Top Dentists for 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016. Dr. Parker is a member of the Chicago Dental Society, Illinois State Dental Society, American Dental Association, American Dental Education Association and is a Fellow of the International College of Dentists.
Dr. Parker has coached youth football and basketball at Libertyville Boys Club and the Libertyville Sports Complex. He was also the Director of Fundraising for Libertyville Boys Club. Dr. Parker teamed up with Dr. Vince Arpino to provide mouth guards to the 2011 Libertyville High School Varsity Football Team. Dr. Parker sponsors women's league soccer teams, adult kickball teams, as well as other high school teams. Dr. Parker also has taught religious education.
Dr. Michael Parker is the son of Dr. Steve Parker and is excited to be working with his Dad! Dr. Parker grew up in the area and attended Libertyville High School. He then attended Grand Valley State University, where was a member of the football team.
Outside of work, Dr. Parker loves exercising, running, hiking, and spending time with his family. Dr. Parker is very excited to be a part of the team at Vernon Hills Dental Center and to serve the wonderful people of the area!

Dr. Parker is amazing, we've been his patients for at least 15 years. My 90 year old grandmother comes from a time where the dentist in the 1940s and 1950s caused her a great deal of pain. She's been terrified of the dentist since then. She doesn't live here, isn't Dr. Parker's patient. While she was visiting Illinois she was in a great amount of pain. Dr. Parker made space in his schedule right away to see her. We arrived and she was visibly nervous borderline anxiety ridden. Dr. Parker made her comfortable, made her laugh, and was able to pull the tooth in a matter of minutes (it couldn't be saved). He then called the lab that fabricates partials and had a new tooth added to her appliance! She now loves him, and when she visited 6 months later she asked to go back to him for more work! She hasn't been to the dentist in 60 years and now she's making special trips to Illinois for dental work! Can't thank Dr. Parker enough.

Dr. Parker missed diagnosing my periodontitis, even though the xrays he took clearly show severe bone loss. Due to his incompetence, I have had to spend thousands of dollars on lanap and bone grafting. And because my bone loss was caught so late (luckily my new dentist saw it), I am now losing a tooth and will need to spend thousands more on implants. What a nightmare.

Family of four, we have been going to Dr. Parker's office since he opened his doors in Vernon Hills. We are very happy with all his services. He makes best decisions and very helpful. Very responsive with emergency calls. Entire office personnel helpful and accommodating.

Knew nothing about a collections bill a family member had for a whopping $28. Called to make an appointment for a cavity and they said I have been dismissed over this whopping bill. So now I'm in pain looking for a new dentist. One that does a lot for veterans in our community sure got the shaft from a veteran. Thanks for not being there when I'm in pain over $28 when I've referred thousands of dollars to you guys! I'd stay away!

BEWARE!!!!!!!!!! I went in for work, I specifically asked for only an exam because I did not have dental insurance, the lady was very understanding, as she wrote up an estimate for $140.00 for the exam an X-Ray. I agreed and signed the estimate for $140.00. I asked her to tell the dentist not to do anything else but the exam, I saw the dentist and he did whatever he does. Granted I haven't been to the dentist in 10 years I wasn't completely sure what he was doing in my mouth. After 10 minutes he was done and asked me to schedule a future appointment. When I went to pay the $140.00 the lady who gave me the estimate and ensured that nothing else would be done during the visit told me that the dentist gave me a filling. She said I owed $513.00. I ended up paying the bill right then and there. When I try to call about this discrepancy they continue to ignore and not return my phone calls. It has been 3 weeks and they refuse to let me speak with the doctor if I can even get a hold of them. Like I mentioned earlier. BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
