Born and raised in Utah, Dr. Davis received his undergraduate degree from the University of Utahand completed dental school in San Francisco at the University of the Pacific's Arthur Dugoni School of Dentistry, where he graduated in 1981. He then spent some time in Texas workingin the Public HealthService before returning to Utah to begin private practice in 1983. Since that time, he has built a practice focused on providing exemplary individualized dental care to his patients.
Our patients love the personal care and attention they receive from Dr. Davis, and they love how easily he calms their fears about receiving dental treatment. Many of his patients have been coming to him since they were children, and now bring their families here to receive the compassionate treatment that Dr. Davis gives to all his patients. They also love the fact that Dr. Davis has the knowledge, experience, and steady hand to perform many procedures that other dentists refer out to other doctors, including root canals and oral surgery.
In his spare time, Dr. Davis is activeas a leader inchurch and scouting activities. In 2015 he was presented the Silver Beaver Award by the Great Salt Lake Council of the Boy Scouts of America. He spends as much time as possible with his wife, children and grandchildren. He is also an avid hiker and mountaineer. He climbed to Mount Everest base camp in 2006, climbed several peaks in Ecuador in 2008, and has recently returned from a climb on Mount Elbrus in the Caucus Mountains in southern Russia.

Dr Davis is very professional and knowledgeable. I had a lot of questions and concerns, but he spent time explaining in details and he answered all my questions patiently. He took a lot of notes and gave useful suggestions. He really cares about his patients. Thank you Dr. Davis!

I was referred to Dr Davis by my regular Dentist because I needed a specialist to do a rout canal I was very impressed with Dr Davis he did a great job he made sure I was completely satisfied with his work and I am very satisfied with the our come. He saved my tooth! I highly recommend him!!

We fly out of State to see Dr Davis. He always goes for the best quality solution for his patients: a crown, a bridge or just a root channel. Engineering Precision. We have been blessed to have Dr. Davis when we lived in Murray and Sandy. And now we fly from out of state for dental work. He is the best Dr, very knowledgable, and his team, All very kind and professional.

Where to begin. First and foremost, 1 star is generous. If you want a dentist who 1: does poor dental work forcing you to return an average of 2 times per filling to only have them all fail within a year. 2: an office SO behind on their billing (I'm talking 6+ months) only to find out then that your insurance was never covered. 3: an office who was not transparent about the lack of coverage from the beginning and continued to make multiple appointments knowing our insurance was not accepted, then tried to convince you to change your dental insurance for one that compensates their office the most. 4: shaves down your teeth to the point they don't look like molars any longer. (His molar now looks like a premolar thanks to dr Davis) instead of fixing his awful work. 5: an office that is also MONTHS behind on charting (verified by a previous employee) I'm not sure how a dentist can remember work he's done months ago when backchatting, leaving plenty of room for fraud and dishonest billing. Then this is the office for you!! It's your lucky day. We have obviously left this poor excuse for a dental office to see another who was APPALLED at the work my husband had had done at this office. Our new dentist has apologized more for the "work" done by dr. Davis than the man himself. I would feel horrible if I didn't warn others about this office as we have been through the ringer with everyone there. They are dishonest and do poor work. Stay far away.

My experience is my first time with Dr. Davis. I am new to Utah and my family members have highly recommended him. I was able to make an appointment as a new patient quickly. Dr. Davis' office staff fit me in with minimal wait time. It turns out, it was a wisdom tooth I should've had removed years ago. I have put it off because of the time involved in scheduling a specialist, getting rides needed etc. Dr. Davis was able to quickly and painlessly remove the tooth immediately during my initial visit. I was so relieved that he was able to do everything then and there! Very little swelling and pain afterwards.I cannot say enough positives about how professional and caring Dr. Davis and his office staff is! Thank you! Alison

It took me years to find a great dentist, my entire family has been going to Dr. Davis for years and I wanted to be the black sheep and find something different only to have wasted my time and giving in and regretting that I hadn't done so. I have now been with Dr. Davis for 5-6 years and have never looked back! He is honest, caring, and does amazing work! Not to mention so is his entire staff! I literally look forward to going in for a cleaning so I can chat about life with my hygienist Holly, like when do you ever hear someone say that?! I recommend them to everyone I know !

Dr. Davis is one of the best dentists I have ever been to. He is very patient, explains things thoroughly, makes sure everything is done perfectly. He corrected a new crown that another dentist had put in. He did a great job on 2fillings. I had an inflammation on a tooth and he worked me in for my emergency. He cares about his patients. I highly recommend him.
