Good dentist. But by far the most unresponsive and worst communication of any business I have encountered. They never pick up their phone. They never call back. They aren't even reachable if you walk in the front door. Front desk is always unoccupied. I am writing this review from the waiting room right now actually and nobody is around to answer my calls or help me today. Ridiculous. Stay away from here if you value your time.

Went to Dr. Fraites for an extraction of my right upper rear molar due to a crack that was causing me pain. I was kind of nervous about the pain of the extraction but I was numbed up locally with ease and didn't even feel the extraction at all! The extraction went great and there was virtually no pain at all during the recovery! Also I thought I was going to require an implant but I've noticed no difference with my chewing ability at all. Dr. Fraites and his assistant Kim have the best bedside manner of any dentist I've ever been to and I'm 57 years old . I would gladly recommend them to any of my family, friends, or anyone else for that matter!

Probably the best dental experience I've ever had! Dr. Fraites and his assistant Kim have a great bedside manner and really know their stuff. I had to get a 40 year old crown replaced and it turned out better than expected Would recommend this practice to anyone!

Dr. Fraites, Steve, as he introduced himself was amazing! Dr. Fraites and Kim welcomed me and three of my young kids into their office one afternoon for our cleaning. Dr. Fraites was very personable, patient, kind, and gentle with all three of my kids and myself. We can't recommend him and his assistant Kim enough! We are only in Charlottsville for one year and we are really thankful we found him and his friendly, clean, kind office! Wish we could take y'all back to GA. Thank you!!

Dr. Fraites spends ample time working with his patients and has good rapport with his small, friendly, multi-tasking staff. As much as going to the dentist can be a pleasure, it is so with Dr. Fraites.

Dr. Fraites and his staff are always so welcoming and accommodating. They always go above and beyond by making sure I receive the care I need, no matter what it takes. Friendly and down to earth, I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a dentist!

Dr. Fraites and Miss Kim are a great team, thank you for pleasant distractions during over due dental work, friendly advice and working with my whole family. Seeing my husband talk highly about your work after bad prior experiences with other dentists has helped ease my mind for myself and our family. Would highly recommend Dr. Fraites to anyone looking for a great and compassionate dentistry.

I have never smiled so much at the dentist. The staff were personable, friendly, funny, and efficient. They talked me through the XR interpretation and took a picture of my cavities needing attention, allowing me to see it with my own eyes. The cleaning was easy and quick, and when hitting sensitive parts of my teeth the dentist was very perceptive of my discomfort and allowed me a few moments before continuing (despite me not saying anything). Enjoyed my visit and will update my review after the filling (and bill).

I had been going to Dr. Fraites for years and he referred me to an endodontics dentist for a root canal. I had the procedure done then had to return to Dr. Fraites for the crown. I started having issues with the same tooth 2 1/2 years later and Dr. Fraites once again sent me back to the endodontics dentist to check it. After having a hole drilled in the crown it was found that Dr. Fraites never removed the temporary material in the tooth before putting on the crown and the crown build up was not done. It cause infection that resulted in bone loss and the tooth had to be extracted. I went to discuss the situation with Dr. Fraites and he agreed to pay for an implant to replace the tooth. Dr. Fraites had an agreement with the oral surgeon to pay that part but I had to get the restoration done with another dentists. It cost over $2000 so I sent the bill to Dr. Fraites thinking he would keep good on his word to pay to replace my tooth with an implant. He refuses to pay the dentist for the restoration. He claims he only agreed to pay for the oral surgeon and not the restoration. Why would I have agreed to that? Now keep in mind I paid almost $900 after insurance for the original work 2 1/2 years ago basically for nothing. Now I'm stuck with another $2000.

Dr. Fraites has been my dentist for many years. He has saved my smile on many occasions. I find Dr. Fraites and his staff professional and patient friendly. His recommendations have always been on point. I find him to on top of his profession and have recommended him to my friends, family and co-workers. Make an appointment and be treated with kindness and professionalism.

Thanks Dr. Fraites and staff for another great appointment! I appreciate the personal attention I receive at every visit. I never feel rushed or as if the staff has triple booked my appointment time. So glad I found this practice!

I have been going to Dr. Fraites for several years now. He is very diligent in his tooth care. My wife went in and it looked like she would need she fillings, but when she went back, he was able to eliminate current damage, and gave her steps to take to allow the tooth to repair itself. He explains tooth care very thoroughly; rather than just telling our kids to floss, he showed them in detail why they needed to floss, and how to do it properly to prevent future tooth damage in a way that made them committed to their own tooth care. Very grateful for his considerate care and his desire to minimize elaborate procedures where possible.
