Stephanie received a Bachelor of Science degree (BSc) from The University of Waterloo in 1989, a DDS degree from McGill University in 1993 and completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the University of Minnesota in 1994.

I have lived in Barrington since 1997 where my husband and I have raised two wonderful daughters. I am passionate about continually learning and advancing my career, making people smile and giving back to the community that we call home.
I have 25 years experience of practicing dentistry in Northbrook, Winnetka, Barrington, Dundee and Des Plaines. I recently opened my own family general and restorative dental practice closer to home in Barrington where I have made many life long connections and friendships over the decades through working with the Barrington Junior Womens Club, schools and other local organizations.

Stephanie is simply the best. She has been my dentist for the past 15+ years. I wouldn't go to anyone else. I love her new practice. She uses the latest technology, yet keeps your experience personalized and personal. She answers questions thoroughly and honestly communicating in a way that is appropriate for the patient. She has cared for my now young adult sons with disabilities for years. She has adapted as needed to make sure they were comfortable and understood everything going on. You really can't find a better person, let alone a better dentist.

Doctor Stephanie Skopek Is the most caring dentist I've ever been to and down-to-earth and Does a fantastic job cleaning my teeth. I always feel very comfortable going to this office that's what I travel 40 minutes to see her.

Stephanie is the best dentist, period!! She has moved twice from other partnerships she had to her own practice now and I have followed her wherever she went. I refuse to see any other dentist because they don't even compare. I drive an hour just to see her and have a very busy schedule so the fact that someone like me is willing to take 3 hours out of their day (2 hours travel time) to see her should tell you all you need to know about what kind of professional she is. She also has an incredible assistant, Vanessa, who also has moved with Stephanie and together they make the best team!

"Go for the chair, stay for the dentist!" Dr. Skopek is my favorite dentist! She and the team are responsive, fun, and caring. I highly recommend her and the team. Dr. Skopek understands my priorities, takes care to put the patient at ease, and is very gentle. Plus the chair has an awesome massage feature. Who ever relaxed in a dental chair without gas?

Dr. Stephanie is AMAZING! I am scared to death of the dentist and she had me so relaxed and laughing on my way out. I am looking forward to my next cleaning! She was the best with my 11 year old as well. She's thorough, she explains everything, and she's so calming. We need to shout out Vanessa too! I will drive 3 hours to go see Stephanie and Vanessa!

Stephanie is hands down the best dentist I have every been to! She is incredibly passionate about what she does, which is evident in the way she communicates with you during your visit. She is transparent in what she is doing and when she is doing it, which helped me to feel more comfortable! You can tell she really cares about your health as a patient, rather than simply getting you in and out for a cleaning. I couldn't recommend her more!

I went in to see Dr. Skopek for a teeth whitening. I'm a smoker so my teeth were quite yellow. Stephanie was able to whiten my teeth 10 places on the whitening chart. I was so happy with the result, but even more pleased with her demeanor. I'm not fearful of the dentist and I told her that, but she kept asking me if I was doing ok in 5 minute increments. Super professional in a peaceful & relaxed atmosphere. If you are afraid of going to the dentist because of a bad experience in the past, you will not be disappointed with Dr. Skopek. Painless and Professional

I've been to a few different dentists in the Barrington area in the past 15 years but I want to give 2 thumbs up for Dr. Skopek's practice. From the ease of scheduling, being seen on time, her thorough examination and treatment using some camera technology that I've never seen anywhere, as well as her (and her assistant's) professionalism, my experience during my visit was simply the best.
