Obstructive Sleep Apnea is a condition where the tissues of the throat and tongue completely block the airway causing brief periods of suffocation which can dangerously reduce the bodys oxygen levels. The brain alerts the muscles of the airway to open the blocked airway which disrupts the quality of our much-needed sleep and we wake up tired and unrested.

Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) affects more than 20 million Americans and can lead to hypertension, heart attack, stroke, depression, muscle pain, excessive daytime sleepiness and other destructive problems. You may be in danger when operating a vehicle or other heavy equipment as OSA causes serious concentration problems that lead to drowsy driving and other dangerous situations.

If you have already been diagnosed with sleep apnea and are currently on CPAP therapy, you may be a candidate for the dental appliance. Some patients who are diagnosed with snoring, mild or moderate sleep apnea may be able to be treated with the dental appliance therapy.

I went here for sleep apnea treatment but instead I GOT A NEW LIFE! Everyone on their team - the person that scheduled my appointment, the assistant that took my impressions, Lesia (the one that explained oral appliances to me), and the dentist, Dr. Layman - they were all so energetic and thorough. They answered all my questions, explained all the options, & helped me to understand how important treatment is. They explained all the possible treatments - not just the oral appliances they provide - and helped me select the one that's right for me. Now I'm wearing the appliance each night, and I have so much energy. My wife was just sick of my snoring, but now I feel so alive. Happy wife, happy life. I recommend making an appointment. I'm actually looking forward to my follow-up appointment because the team was so much fun. Seriously.
