Dr. Soledad Razuri - General dentist in Phoenix, AZ

A native of Monterrey, Mexico, Dr. Libby grew up in a nurturing home with parents who were and continue to be a source of inspiration and a true model of love and of service to others. The example they set had a huge influence on Dr. Libby. Even as a young girl, she participated with her family in mission trips that took them to all corners of the country, helping people who might have otherwise fallen through the cracks.

Dr. Libbys dad was a successful general surgeon and always encouraged his children to seek higher education. This led her to complete a DDS degree at the UANL in Monterrey, Mexico as well as a 2-year pediatric dentistry program. In search of further education and experience, she went on to complete her second pediatric dental residency at the University of Connecticut Health Center. After graduation, Dr. Libby also completed a one-year fellowship program at the Connecticut Childrens Medical Center, treating patients in a hospital.

Throughout her educational experiences and hands-on training, she was blessed to have had amazing mentors who took the time to teach her much more than just pediatric dentistry, making her a well-rounded professional who not only knows how to be a dentist but also a caring physician who is truly interested in her patients.

Dr. Libby became board certified in 2001 and participates in the Renewal Certification Process annually. She is also honored to be an Oral Board Examiner for the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She is on staff at Phoenix Childrens Hospital, where she provides care for medically- compromised children and children with special needs.

Dr. Libby is married to the most wonderful man in the world. The couple is blessed to be the parents of 2 boys and a baby girl. Following in the footsteps of her parents, they love to do medical mission trips as a family and enjoy traveling as well. They are also avid football fans and look forward to the Cardinals winning a Super Bowl in their lifetime!

Dr. Libbys life mission statement: I exist to serve God by serving and loving others for His glory. Pediatric dentistry is an opportunity to not only do what I love as a profession but to fulfill my mission statement: to serve and love others, especially your children my patients and you, the parents.

Ever since I was very little, I wanted to be a dentist, and specifically a pediatric dentist. I have vivid memories of sitting my younger brother on the sink, and examining and cleaning his teeth, at only 4 years old! Having no dentists in our large family, my parents were surprised and also very supportive of my interest in dentistry.

I received my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia, in Lima, Peru. To pursue my dream to work with children, I continued my education at the University of Connecticut Health Center. There I first completed two years of the Advanced Education in General Dentistry, and then I continued with the residency in pediatric dentistry at UCONN for 2 years more, and then completed a one year fellowship, to get additional training. All through my training, I have been fortunate to have such great mentors, teachers, colleagues and friends. Dr. Libby and I met in the UCONN pediatric dentistry program, as we studied together, and I am grateful for her friendship and the opportunity to join her and her amazing team.

Besides dentistry, just like you, I wear many other hats! I am a wife, a mother, a cook, a driver My husband, whom I also met in Connecticut is Dr. Jason Zuch, a periodontist who practices in Scottsdale. Our 4 children are Lucas, Vera, Vivian and Luisa. We like travelling, hiking, baking, cooking or simply watching a movie.

I am also a survivor! It is through the hardship and challenges that I faced, that I learned what a patient wants, what a patient needs and expects from a healthcare provider, whether it is from an assistant, a doctor, or a nurse.

I was born and raised in Michigan with my parents, two older brothers and younger sister. For my undergraduate degree, I studied Biomedical Sciences at Western Michigan University, Go Broncos! While pursing my degree, I discovered my passion for working with children by volunteering on a mission trip to Panama to aid a pediatric dentist in providing treatment for the under-served. After completing my undergraduate studies I headed east to attend dental school at The State University of New York at Buffalo. Upon completing dental school in 2017, I decided to stay another two years in Buffalo where I completed my advanced training in Pediatric and Community Dentistry, serving my last year as Chief Resident. I am currently a member of the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.

It is my goal to motivate patients to take pride in their oral health. By introducing positive experiences for your children, I aim to extinguish dental anxiety from the bottom up! In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my beautiful six-year-old chocolate lab, named Cooper. I also enjoy hiking, skiing and doing anything outdoors! I am very fortunate to be a member of the Desert Ridge Pediatric Dentistry family!
