Dr. Shay has spent most of his adult life helping people preserve their dental health. Dr. Shay is a 1993 graduate of State University of New York at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine, one of the most respected and prestigious research dental schools in the country. Dr. Shay was the youngest member of his dental school graduating class and one of the youngest graduating dentists ever at age 23.
Dr. Shay has maintained two private family practices in Encino and Montebello since 1995. Dr. Shay continues to stay on the cutting edge of his field by attending over 600 hours of continuing education courses to keep him up to date with the latest innovations and techniques. He has completed several seminars in the fields of Laser, restorative, cosmetic and implant dentistry. Dr. Shay's emphasis on patient comfort as well as being on top of the latest advancements in dentistry enable him to provide his patients with the best quality of care in the field. Dr. Shay has a wide range of experience in different areas of dentistry, from cosmetic and restorative dentistry to surgical treatments and root canal treatments. Dr Shay has a Mini-Residency degree from UCLA Dental School in Sleep Dentistry.
His approach to Dental treatment starts with patiently listening to his patients. Then, after a complete and thorough examination, he reviews and discusses the diagnosis and all treatment options. Dr. Shay is married and has two beautiful daughters aged 9and 7. He is an avid traveler and enjoys reading, news, sports, movies and great food!

I've been going to Dr. Shay since 2019 and I have always had a positive experience. The professionalism and friendliness of the whole team is outstanding especially when you have someone like Dinni or Jessie and the reception window to welcome you. Dr. Shay is very nice and informative. You know that you're in good hands when you learn things about your bone structure that you had no clue about. Undoubtedly the best dental-related experience I've ever had. From the first day I visited this office I have felt as though I've been cared for and treated as family. Highly recommend you make a trip to see them at their new office in Monterey Park. Brand new office equipment and beautiful decor.

I love Dr. Shay and staff! I've been seeing him for over 6 years and he has always taken the best care of me. Dr. Shay was the first dentist my son ever saw and he doesn't have that anxiety about having a dental appointment because since day one Dr. Shay made sure he was comfortable and safe. Jessie at the front is always so welcoming and helpful; any questions I have about my insurance she is there to answer. There new office is stunning and you feel like you just walked into some luxurious Beverly Hills office. All the equipment looks very advanced and the rooms are open and clean. I would recommend Dr. Shay and his staff to anyone and everyone. They are thorough and knowledgeable and they take the time to explain everything. Go see Dr. Shay, you won't regret it.

I been looking for a new dentist ever since I moved into the Montebello area a few years ago. My wife found Dr. Shay through yelp and highly recommended him. Dr. Shay is a fantastic dentist and his staff are all nice and friendly. I had my wisdom tooth pulled and it was done quickly with minimal discomfort. My prior two wisdom teeth were removed by my prior dentist and that night a day compared to how Dr. Shay did it. I have Invisalign done and it went very smoothly and now my wife is going through her own Invisalign program. My kids like going to Dr. Shay because he and his staff make it a comfortable experience for my kids. I highly recommend Dr. Shay for any one, especially those with kids, to have Dr. Shay as a dentist.

Dr. Shay has been my dentist for 23 yrs. I would never go anywhere else. He has seen many of my family members (including my children) as well as friends. He is gentle at hand and heart. His staff always takes care of their patients. Dr. Shay always tells me, "he wishes I can teach his other patients how to relax". He's always amazed by how calm & relaxed I am evertime im in his chair. I told him it's because I trust him. He is amazing. I have been ripped off by other dentist in the past. I will only go to Dr. Shay as long as I alive. Even if I move out of state. Love you Dr. Shay & your team!!!

I'm a fairly new patient of Dr. Shay. He and his staff made me feel welcome and comfortable from day one. I haven't seen a dentist in years. Dr. Shay and his staff were never judgemental about it. They were and are only concerned for what is now. He and his staff are caring from the moment I walk in the door to the moment I leave. Dr. Shay is gentle and always checks on how I'm doing before, during and after my procedures. I would recommend Dr. Shay and his staff to anyone.

Dr. Shay and his staff are very welcoming and make you feel like they are inviting you into their home. Everyone is very professional and ready at a moment's notice. They work diligently and have a delicate, as well as a calming approach to their technique. I had four extractions done and they healed very nicely. I don't know if it was me or due to Dr. Shay's methods, but I felt no pain the following day from where my teeth were extracted; just a sore jaw.

I've been coming to Dr. Shays office for about 3 years now and I can't say enough great things about his practice. His staff are so kind and welcoming. The office is clean and very relaxing , everything is kept sanitized. The office is in the middle of a shopping center but it is a true gem. Dr. Shay is amazing , always so sweet and positive. I never in my life thought I would enjoy going to the dentist but he is so gentle with every procedure I know I am in good hands . I always leave with a smile on my face regardless of the numbing . Hands down would recommend to anyone looking for a dentist.

Its always a great experience when I go to Dr. Shay's office. I've had extractions, crowns, cavity fills and all the drilling noises that will make the average person run for the hills but Dr. Shay has a way of making you feel like you're in great hands. He always knows what he is doing and does it with confidence and excellent customer care.

Me and my kids love dr.shay and his staff as well, his assistant Zaly is a sweetheart and the other assistants as well they have the best attitude and are very kind with their patients. I was recommended here by my orthodontist to get my teeth in shape for my new braces . This place was a delightful surprise to me. It's located in a Shopping mall with lots of Parking. It is clean and well-managed . I was greeted by Jesse at the front desk she made me feel comfortable to ask any questions especially the financial questions( which you know can be confusing). I am having several appointments here but my first appointment I had fillings and part of a deep cleaning service. My dentist ( Dr. Shay's partner) Did a fabulous and careful job and his dental assistant kept me at ease and did a wonderful job making sure I got everything I needed including something as simple as keeping my lips moisturized during the dental work.. loved loved her .If you're looking for a new dentist and don't know where to go please try this place. I know it's hard for adults to get dental work, if your having a rough time finding a dentist you can trust you must go here. FYI.. I will continue to post future reviews on this place.
