Dr. Habakus grew up in Berks County, Pennsylvania. He completed his undergraduate studies at Juniata College, Huntingdon, PA, where he obtained a Bachelor of Sciences degree in biology/pre-dentistry in 1990. Dr. Habakus attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, and graduated with a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 1994. Dr. Habakus was one of only three doctors in the country accepted into the St. Joseph's Hospital General Practice Residency program in 1994.
Completingadvanced courses comprised of all facets of dentistry, allows Dr. Habakus to provide the very best care for his patients. Dr. Habakus far exceeds the minimum number of continuing education hours required to maintain his active dental license. He is certified in CPR.
Kim is a 1983 graduate of Harcum Junior College, receiving an Associates Degree from the Dental Assisting Expanded Functions program. Upon graduation, she worked in the Orthodontic field and in 1985 transitioned into processing dental and medical claims for Aetna Insurance Company. Kim has been happily employed with Dr. Habakus since 1998, shortly after he opened his Douglassville dental office. She enjoys managing the front office and assisting patients with questions about their treatment and dental insurances. In her spare time, she loves to be outdoors in her garden. Kim enjoys decorating and helping to restore her 1876 stone farmhouse with her husband. Kim is a devoted wife and proud mother to her three talented children.
Catherine is a Registered Dental Hygienist. I am originally from New York and attended New York City Technical College to complete my Associates degree in Dental Hygiene. I have been practicing hygiene since 1984(OMG!). I attained my Pennsylvania hygiene license upon relocating in 1990. I reside with my husband, a son in high school, daughter in middle school, my parents, 2 dogs and a Russian tortoise. I should be living in an ark! Kidding aside, my days are certainly filled with the daily wife/mother endeavors, but I look forward to enjoying a good book and family togetherness. I thank God for the many blessings He has given me in my life. I am so blessed to have the opportunity to be a part of the Habakus team. They accepted me into their office in 2006 without even looking to add onto their staff! I receive much joy in knowing the difference I make in my patients health and my motto is enjoy what you do and you will never work a day in your life!
Jackie has been a dental assistant with Dr. Habakus since 2002. She is certified to take dental radiographs and has completed General Education and Science courses from Montgomery County Community College and Immaculata University. Jackie continues to seek ways toimprove her dentalknowledge and, in 2009, completed her Dental Assistant program from Penn Foster Career School. Jackie's focus is on quality patient care, and helping the office run smoothly for the entire dental team. In Jackie's free time, she enjoysspending time outdoorswith her two children.
