Dr. Sergio Joseph Pausa, D.M.D., M.S. is a native of Atlanta, GA, where he attended Woodward Academy High School. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Georgia and his graduate degree at The Medical College of Georgia in 1989. He completed a 2-year residency in Hospital Dentistry at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, followed by a 4-year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at The Medical College of Georgia in 1995.
Dr. Pausa has been in practice since 1995, associating in a two-surgeon practice in Birmingham, AL for three years before returning to his home state in 1998. Dr. Pausa provides a wide range of Oral and Maxillofacial services with emphasis in dentoalveolar surgery, wisdom teeth removal,implants, bone and soft tissue reconstruction, facial trauma, oral pathology, general anesthesia and IV sedation. He and his staff are certified in Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support to assure preparedness and safety to allpatients.
He attends lectures, seminars, and continuing education throughout the year to stay abreast of developing trends and advancements in the field of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Presently residing in Cumming, GA, his other interests include spending time with his wife, Angela, and their 5 children, and serving the needs of their church and childrens' school.

You do not find doctors like Dr. Pausa often! Not just him, but his whole office is just wonderful and he really knows how to run a business. The secretary is just as sweet as can be, I had a great experience with the nurses, and my wisdom tooth surgery went smoothly. I had quite a bit of pain and Dr. Pausa took time out of his weekend not only to answer the phone but then went the extra mile and let me come in on a Sunday to check up on me when I was concerned instead of having me wait until Monday. He is the best and passionate about helping people. I highly recommend him and know you will have a great experience too. Thank you so much to everyone at this office! You really make a difference :)

Dr. Pausa and his whole office staff environment give excellent care. Very friendly skilled and knowledgable expert in his field. Highly recommend Dr.Pausa.

Even with my fears and considerable pain, I was completely and delightfully relieved once Dr Pausa came in and reviewed my crazy x-ray, explained what he was going to do and how long it would take. Kind, patient, empathetic and obviously knowledgeable, he left me with an unexpected comfort and confidence. Even the wonderful nurses (esp the one who administered my anesthesia... she gave me a play by play for everything she was doing which is excellent but usually not so common in my experience) were almost motherly in their care. I woke up in a wonderful haze and left extremely relieved, happy, and evidently, very funny. Thank you everyone at Dr Pausa's office from a grateful patient who has two fewer teeth....

I have had 8 implants with Dr Pausa and his team over ten years. My impression: professional, talented, friendly, honest, empathetic. I could not think of a better team to do this kind of work. I can honestly say you feel like family when you are there for treatment. I can't thank them enough for the great job they have done on these old teeth and for the friendliness and respect they have always shown. Five Thumbs Up!

Excellent oral surgeon. He's pulled one of my wisdom teeth and all of my kids teeth. Very skilled. I went to a different oral surgeon and he took a quick look at my x-ray, told his assistant to schedule me for surgery and was done. Dr. Pausa had a much different approach and I think the result was much quicker healing from the surgery. Experienced staff, too. Always helpful and friendly, but busy. If you are trying to choose an oral surgeon, I think Dr. Pausa is as good as they get and I highly recommend him.

He is one of the best doctors i will ever have. He is so nice and caring and will do anything to help out the problem. Mid surgery he had a tooth implant made for me ready for me right when i got out. He is so good at what he does and a true joy to talk with. I would not recommend anybody else. I have been going to him since i was a kid and i am 24 now.

Went to Dr. Pausa from an excellent recommendation from a friend and his whole family who goes there. Dr. Pausa and his crew are top notch. Called on Fri. With an abscess that had started. They couldn't get me in that day but immediately started me on antibiotics which was a life saver as the pain was at a 10+ already. Went this Monday morning at 745 to have it extracted and it was an A+ experience, from the front desk to the nurses to Dr. Pausa himself. Everyone had fantastic bedside manners and went above and beyond in every way possible. Clean bathrooms and very reasonably priced. 100% satisfied.
