When I was a kid, I dont remember braces being this much fun. In all three of our locations in Littleton, Centennial and Aurora, it is all about having a good time while creating smiles for our patients. This is how my staff and I have built such a great reputation with so many wonderful patients with a little something called customer service.
I have been practicing orthodontics in my hometown of Littleton since I graduated with my specialty degree in orthodontics, where I live with my wife and four beautiful children. Colorado has to be one of the best places to live if you love outdoor activities like my family and I do.
I feel so lucky to practice what I love, therefore it is important to me to give back to those in need. I am currently on one of only three cleft lip and palate teams in the Rocky Mountain region where I treat a lot of kids who really have a need.
I have also traveled to third world countries to perform surgically based dentistry on kids who have nothing. I have been to most parts of the world, including Asia, South, and Central America and just recently Africa.

Our staff consists of team members with specialized training and multiple certifications, and each team member has years of experience in treating patients with the highest level of care. We strive to stay abreast of the very latest in technology and advancements by regularly attending continuing education courses and seminars.
Its more important than ever to brush and floss regularly when you have braces, so the teeth and gums are healthy during orthodontic treatment. Patients who do not keep their teeth clean may require more frequent visits to the dentist for a professional cleaning. Adults who have a history of gum disease should also see a periodontist during orthodontic treatment. Watch the video below on the proper care of braces during orthodontic treatment.
What can you eat? Lets talk about what you shouldnt eat! For the first day or so, stick to soft foods. Avoid tough meats, hard breads, and raw vegetables. Before long, youll be able to bite a cucumber again. But youll need to protect your orthodontic appliances when you eat for as long as youre wearing braces.
When you get your braces on, you may feel general soreness in your mouth and teeth may be tender to biting pressures for 3 5 days. Take Tylenol or whatever you normally take for headache or discomfort. The lips, cheeks and tongue may also become irritated for one to two weeks as they toughen and become accustomed to the braces. We will supply wax to put on the braces in irritated areas to lessen discomfort.
To successfully complete orthodontic treatment, the patient must work together with the orthodontist. The teeth and jaws can only move toward their corrected positions if the patient consistently wears the rubber bands or other appliances as prescribed. Lack of cooperation following instructions and damaged appliances lengthen the treatment time so please follow instructions.

My entire family had braces here and I liked it until...A few years later it looks like I will need orthodontic help again. They want to charge me $80 just to walk in the door and have my braces checked. I will pay my $4000 for braces elsewhere. Front desk personnel were blase and they are always the first line of trust for me. Dr Baller in Southlands will be helping me and they are awesome!

Both of my kids have received orthodontic care from Ohmart Orthodontics. My son is finished with his treatment and has a beautiful smile. My daughter is just getting hers and so excited to have her smile fixed. The office is beautiful and they putt kids at ease, they are excited to come to the orthodontics.

We love Ohmart. Our son had to wait a year to get braces because he still had baby teeth at 13. I loved that they didn't force the issue. He needed a lot of room made in his mouth and worked with our preferences on treatment. They have done a wonderful job working with his very difficult situation. Dr. Ohmart is wonderful!!!! He is personable and funny. He makes going to the orthodontist something to look forward to!!

I have absolutely loved my experience at Ohmart Orthodontics. All the staff are welcoming and knowledgeable. To do the initial consult was so easy and in less than a month I had my invisalign trays to start the process. Everything is clean and well organized which has been really reassuring during covid. I can't recommend them enough!

I always have the best experience when I visit. Clearly we hate going to the dentist but Ohmart Orthodontist has always put my kids nerves at ease. Great staff and excellent doctors. I wouldn't recommend any other place but Ohmart Orthodontist!!!!

My daughter loves coming in for her adjustments! She experienced some anxiety with the process of braces in the beginning, but the entire staff is very caring and addressed her concerns and worked her through the process. We are so happy with Ohmart Orthodontics, and highly recommend them!

We had a terrific experience at Ohmart Ortho! It had been recommended to us as a straight forward, honest, orthodontist office and did not disappoint. Dr. Ohmart was exactly what we hoped for from our first initial appointment (in which he suggested we wait 6 months to see how our daughter's teeth came in) until our last appointment. Things went faster than expected and our daughter's braces came off 4 months earlier than planned. In addition, the front office is very friendly and helpful and we had only positive experiences with staff. Our daughter's teeth look great and we are so thankful for Ohmart Ortho and highly recommend!
