Wish I could give a review of services but I can't, they refused to see me. That's right refused, the nurse and office managers didn't even have the professional courtesy to tell me themselves. They had an office person tell me, to avoid having to defend themselves no doubt. Three reasons were mentioned: 1. Tufts, because I'm seen for a MEDICAL condition affecting me orally I was told to have the surgery there. 2. I have MEDICAID, that was mentioned BUT no mention of my DENTAL INSURANCE. 3. Only seeing Addison residents. #3 could have been stated BEFORE I filled out all the info required and sent in my med records. Avoiding the unpleasant conversation completely. But it was never mentioned and therefore a moot point. #1 is beyond me. I don't see a dentist there it's only for a my medical condition. To be told to travel out of state, spend 100's for motel rooms, have someone miss 2 days of work to travel with me, etc for a procedure that can be done in VERMONT is ridiculous. Using Tufts is an easy out for them. 2. Medicaid. That's the real reason. Money. I have dental insurance and the means to pay for the work that NEEDS to be done. This isn't cosmetic work but necessary work that needs to be done. But no one discussed finances with me, just used my medical condition as a convenient excuse not to state the real reason for dismissing me...money. I truly pity the woman given the task to tell me, it's not her job. It's the job of the nurse and/or the office manager, they made the determination. In the end I will find a VERMONT oral surgeon who'll perform the surgery I need. Who'll have the professional courtesy to speak with me directly to determine my financial means to pay for the procedure. Perhaps I should be thankful it played out this way...if this is the level of professionalism and respect for persons BEFORE they're patients I can only imagine how you're treated in the office. I dodged a bullet.

The staff are awesome and Dr. Bowen did an excellent job for my oral surgery and bone grafting Thank you all!

The worst oral surgeon I have ever been to. He's hostile, arrogant and abrupt with his patients. I found him to be extremely unfriendly but he does know what he's doing and he's a good oral surgeon. The nurse I had was no better, she was unfriendly and hostile. Didn't seem to know what she was doing? The receptionist Teresa was extremely hostile and argumentative and all I wanted to do was make an appointment for a simple extraction and she wanted to interrogate me over the phone even though I had a referral from my dentist? And I was already an established patient of theirs? When I told her I would find someone else because clearly she had a problem with giving me an appointment she said "you do that"! and hung up on me. She should not be a receptionist because clearly she has very poor people skills. The staff and dr. Bowen have very bad attitudes and I'm not the first one to complain. I would never go back there again and I certainly would not recommend them to anyone else.
