Dr. Scott has been following in his fathers footsteps in surfing and in orthodontics for years. After a professional surfing career traveling the globe, Dr. Scott decided to finish his schooling and became a orthodontist in 1995 and joined the family here in the West Palm Beach. Dr. Scott is proud of his beautiful daughter Camilla and his incredible wife, Bebe. Dr. Scotts charities of choice in the community are The YMCA of the Palm Beaches and the Surf Museum managed by the PBC Surfing History Project.
Dr. Scott grew up locally on Singer Island and attended Cardinal Newman H.S. graduating in 1980. He majored in Microbiology at University of Florida and then attended Dental school at Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. After receiving his DMD degree in 1992, Dr. Scott then participated in a one year research fellowship at the University of Floridas Orthodontic Department. The research studied the relationships of varying orthodontic treatments on Class II malocclusions in Phase I (early treatment ) cases. The study was supported by a NIH grant. Subsequently Dr. Scott complete a 2 year Orthodontic Residency at Medical College of Georgia orthodontic program (1993 - 1995) and then returned home to join the family practice with Dr. Chum in the summer of 1995.
Dr. Scott is also a member of the East Coast Surfing Hall of Fame and the Florida Skateboard Hall of Fame. In fact, Dr. Scott and Dr. Chum are the only father and son combination that have been inducted into the Surfing Hall of Fame.
Dr. Thebis Alvarez Franceschi was born in Venezuela where she discovered her passion for science while learning from her dad, a physics professor. As a child, Dr. 'A' had great love for arts, so she spent her childhood painting portraits with oil on Canvas. Her great interests in arts, science and helping others guided Dr. A to decide orthodontics was the perfect career for her.
Choosing a career that was both fulfilling and challenging was not easy but becoming a Dentist was first on the list. Thus, Back in Venezuela, she completed her first year of dental school. In December of 2007, her and her family moved to United States.
In 2013, Dr. Alvarez Franceschi completed her Bachelors degree in Biology at Florida International University (FIU). That same year, she started dental school at Nova Southeastern University (NOVA) where she earned her Master in Dental Medicine. Dr. Alvarez was honored to complete her Orthodontic training at Jacksonville University where she gained invaluable skills in the field.

I cannot say enough good things. Dr. Scott and his team are incredible. I love that there is both a female and a male doctor and the team is so diverse. They take such great care of my kiddos!!! I HIGHLY recommend McCranels Orthodontists!!!

WORST orthodontist EVER! Only one member of the staff wasn't rude, and it wasn't "Dr. Scott"! He is very rude and Has NO idea what he is doing, and rushes his overpriced "treatment" to fill the next chair. Be careful folks, he may just RUIN your life with his Horrible Butchery of your mouth!! Would NOT recommend!! I Wish I could give Negative stars!!

After living in New York for almost a decade before moving to WPB I can say with certainty that the level of treatment and professionalism that you can find in NY is even better at Dr. Mccranels. The environment in the office is very clean and organised, with a lovely area for children to play before their appointments. I was very impressed by all of the wonderful staff and the overall efficiency of the team. My appointment was on time and very thorough. I walked out with confidence that I could return for any other issues with my built-in retainer. I would highly recommend Dr. Mccranels to anyone who is in search of a great orthodontist with a superb track record. Five star experience, thank you!

I setup an appointment and when I got there they said I wasn't in the schedule. The worst staff ever, they were very unprofessional and when I asked for the manager they told me she wasn't available. I don't recommend this office at all and going over their reviews I believe it's all fake.

I don't write reviews but have to about this place! I am 58 and had issues after having braces as a kid. I only wish I found this great Dr and his staff sooner! Everyone I know goes to him and now I do! Dr Scott's office and even the parking lot is so clean and inviting. Wait till you see how nice and fun this office is to be in! When I first went to Dr. Scott I was so impressed by the gal that answered the phone and even answered a few of my questions. My first visit there I knew I had finally found the BEST of the BEST! He even saved me money! Go to this guy and you will see why I love him and his staff. You will be so happy and writing a review too. Dr. Scott took plenty of time to answer all my questions and I never felt rushed. The women working for him do this all the time and know a bunch of stuff too. So nice! I hope you go.

Dr. Alvarez , Dr. Scott and staff are amazing! My son and daughter loved Dr. Alvarez. She went into great detail explaining the treatment options and making sure the kids felt comfortable while explaining to them the process and making sure they understood everything. Dr. Alvarez and Nancy made the whole consultation experience a pleasure from start to finish. The whole team was "Professional and kind. I would highly recommend McCranels Orthodontics to anyone needing orthodontics. "

We were on a trip down to the Keys when we realized our daughter forgot her bands. I called as they seemed to be not far off the interstate and they offered to give her some at absolutely no charge. Such sweet people that work there!
