Dr Ip is amazing! I had to have an emergency root canal and he was brilliant. He got me in quickly, explained everything in detail, gave me options, and was available for follow up questions. Super attentive, kind -- would highly recommend him!

Dr Ip is amazing at root canals. What used to take 2 hours took 45 minutes. He has the latest technology for a refined root canal. No pain during or after. An hour later I didn't even feel like I had anything done. He is very gentle and explains everything as he goes. Friendly staff and beautiful office.

I was referred to Dr. Samuel Ip from my wonderful dentist Dr. Margaret Almajano. She assured me he was the best Endodontist in OC. Let me tell you she was ABSOLUTELY 100% correct. Dr. Ip is one of the most kind, caring and thorough Doctor I've ever had. I appreciate the time he has with his patients. He is very thorough and honest about his findings and what should be taken care of in a timely manner. Dr. Ip redid a root canal that my previous Endodontist did (they didn't do a very good job). Before we even started the treatment he walked me through the process and has a way of making you feel very calm and comfortable. The entire time he made sure I wasn't in pain and really I felt absolutely nothing during that treatment. Even after I felt a little discomfort as expected but some ibuprofen did the trick. I've never felt so at ease especially going to see a Doctor for your teeth. The office staff is always so welcoming and friendly every time I call or when I'm there. Everyone who works at the office is wonderful. Thank you so much for taking care of me and helping me through my wellness journey. We need more Doctors like you!

Dr. Ip is amazing! I had a root canal today which I was unnecessarily dreading. The procedure was completely painless and only took about an hour in total. I highly recommend Dr. Ip.

Of course no one wants to have a root canal. But under Dr. Ip's care I am now feeling great and my "problem tooth" is fixed. I was treated very well and Dr. Ip really listened to my needs. With a kind caring staff, I felt safe and in good hands. Thank you.

i was referred to dr. ip for a root canal by my regular dentist. i was seen the same day for a consult & scheduled the next day for the procedure. the staff was very polite & friendly, & dr. ip's manner was very warm. on the day of the procedure, he was extremely thorough giving play-by-play details on what he was doing & what i could expect - from noise levels & types of sound to types of feeling to amount of pressure. upon check out, i was given not only the office # to call with any questions, but also the dr's personal cell phone #. as some of the other reviews mentioned, i received a personal follow up text that evening & the next morning to see how i was recovering. i also received a call from his assistant to see how i was feeling. dr. ip & his staff are top notch, & i highly recommend them. i really hope not to need another root canal anytime soon, but if i do i will definitely go to see him! i'd give more than 5 stars if i could!

I heartily recommend Dr Ip and his team after having the best root canal experience ever and I have had several. The office and equipment is state of the art, the procedures including patient interaction are perfectly tuned and their professionalism, courtesy and efficiency is off the charts. Pricing is right in line with industry and insurance norms. They took all the time needed to hear and answer my questions, continuously checked my comfort level and communicated what's happening and what's going to happen throughout the entire process. The anesthetic was given gently with very little discomfort, the procedure went smoothly with absolutely no pain and when the anesthetic wore off there was very little tenderness in the jaw at all. I used high strength Ibuprofen before the anesthetic completely wore off and at bedtime. I enjoyed a regular dinner being mindful what side to chew on and I'm writing this the morning after and feel nearly 100% back to normal. Thank you Dr Ip and the team. I hope to never see you again...professionally that is !

He's the best he told me everything we could do looked at all the options and then discard with me . Talk to me and told me step by step what he as going to do . The staff were very supportive and the follow up was the best ever. The dentist him self txt me to see how I was doing that evening and his nurse called me the next day to see how I was doing . That was the best ever follow up I have ever had. Just fabulous!!

Dr. Ip is a very good doctor. I've been a patient of his on three different occasions and each time he clearly explained each issue and the treatment options available . He has a very calm and patient demeanor. He successfully performed 2 root canals for me, and correctly assessed that I did not need a root canal on another occasion. His staff is very congenial and was thorough in researching and determining my insurance coverage.

I am a 43 year old active person. I woke up Sunday morning with a filling that became missing from my back upper jaw. I knew I was going to have to wait until Monday just to get an appointment to see Dr. Parker in Laguna Beach Ca. They looked and took a x-ray. It was in need of a root canal and I got referred to Dr. Ip. They got me in in less than 48 hours and I had to fill out some new patient files. Within minutes I got to go to the chair and x-rayed again. He gave me the options and we decided on the best. A root canal. I got numbed. About 30 minutes later my tooth was prepped and I had to have some old fillings removed. I was fixed in under a hour and a half. Thank you Dr. Ips' office! You are professional, courteous, clean, awesome, quick, polite and I can finally chew and drink with that tooth not hurting for the first time in over a year. You are very good. They are very good:)

Amazingly good experience--astonishing considering I needed an emergency root canal. Dr. Ip spoke to me with praise and reassurance of possible noises or feelings of pinching or discomfort I might feel. Soon I learned to discount his warnings since I was comfortable throughout my root canal procedure. Dr. Ip and his staff were extraordinarily attuned to my comfort. Even apoligizing that appointment started a few minutes late. Wow, he squeezed me in with less than 24 hours notice due to my dental emergency! After my experience with him, I may prefer having a root canal rather than a cavity filled in the future. High praise!

Excellent endodontist. I had gone to another endodontist to get a root canal done that was incomplete. I was in so much pain that he told my dentist to pull the tooth. As I was getting ready to go have my tooth pulled, I was told about Dr. Ip who had a cancelation the same day . I went to his office and he redid the root canal and saved my tooth. Dr. Ip is an excellent endodontist and very empathetic. He even He gave me his contact info and told me to call him if I had any problems. Highly recommended.

Such a beautiful, clean office with the friendliest staff! I came in so upset and in pain after learning that I would need 2 root canals. Dr. Ip and staff handled my situation with genuine care and delicate chair - side manner! He walked me through every step of the root canal and what I would expect to feel / hear. Dr. Ip texted me that night after my root canals from his personal phone to check in.. so unexpected and so kind! I'm a week out of the double root canal with Dr. Ip and I'm no longer in pain! Could not be happier with the gentle care I received from the very moment I walked in the office all the way through.

My procedure was painless! Dr. Samuel H. IP'S is very talented, tender, gentle and confident how he treated me. his office has the latest equipment and the nicest polite and caring staff. I was so appreciative how the doctor verbalized each move he was about to perform. It relaxed me. Plus the doctor was so caring he personally contacted me a few hours after the procedure asking how I was doing after the treatment and said to call him later if I had questions.
