One of Dr. Bryans fondest memories of living in Austin was serving as assistant sergeant-at-arms during legislative sessions at the Texas state capitol. By the age of 13, Sammy had decided he wanted to be a dentist.

Dr. Bryan graduated from Sidney Lanier High School in Austin. When it was time for college, he continued the long family tradition of attending Sam Houston State University. While at SHSU, he majored in biology and minored in chemistry.

After completing two years of college, he volunteered to serve in the United States Army, and was stationed at Fort Sam Houston in the position of instructor of dental laboratory sciences at the Academy of Health Sciences. He continued college coursework at Baylor University. Following his military service, he returned to SHSU to complete his Bachelor of Science.

After practicing general dentistry for four years, he applied, and became one of only six candidates accepted, to the University of Texas Orthodontic Graduate Program.

Here, he received intensive training in the diagnosis and treatment of malocclusions of the teeth and irregularities of the jaw and teeth that affect the aesthetics and functionality of the face, jaw, and teeth. After completion of this two-year specialty program, he earned his orthodontic certification and established his private practice in Huntsville, specializing exclusively in orthodontics.

Dr. Bryan has been happily married to his wifeConniefor more than 30 years. They are the proud parents of two adult children, Kody and Dana. At present, Kody, Kody's wife Alex and Dana all work in the practice, so Bryan Orthodontics is truly a family business.

Outside of work, I love time with my husband Kody and our animals: one dog, two cats, two crested geckos, one spiny-tailed iguana, and a lot ofsnakes! I also love time with my nieces, Vyla and Vivian, and enjoy reading, knitting, and visiting old plantation homes.

I enjoy spending time with and getting to know our patients and their families. During treatment, everyone changes and I get to see those changes from visit to visit. Those finished smiles, and our patients happiness, are so rewarding!

I spend my days in our clinic. I take and update patient records, including X-rays, scans, impressions, and pictures. I also sterilize instruments and offer chairside assistance to Dr. Bryan during procedures.

Ive lived in Huntsville since 2006, been married for more than ten years, and have a daughter. We love to spend time together as a family, going to parks, movies, playing video games, and attending church.

I assist Dr. Bryan, chairside, from start to finish for each procedure. I also make sure our office is stocked with all the supplies needed to run efficiently, and am cross-trained in all aspects of the office so I can cover other positions when needed.

Family is everything to me. The greatest joys in my life are my husband, three sons, daughter-in-law, and grandson. When Im not working, my priority is as much family time as possible! I love fishing, especially at our family fishing cabin, as well as traveling and reading. At home on our small farm, I enjoy being surrounded by all our animals: cattle, horses, chickens and turkeys, a pet pig, sheep, deer, and cats!

I enjoy the variety of my days and all the wonderful people I meet and spend time with. I feel lucky because I get to meet people as they start their orthodontic journey and then see how they grow and change as they achieve a great smile!

I welcome prospective patients and parents, introduce them to our team and the orthodontic experience, and walk them through their initial exam with Dr. Bryan. When finished, I review the treatment plan Dr. Bryan has designed, answer questions, and make sure people are able to make informed decisions about braces.

I am cross-trained in all aspects of our office. Most of my time is spent in our clinic, where I assist Dr. Bryan with a range of orthodontic procedures. I also take initial, progress, and final records for our patients.

I love getting to know our patients and watching them change as their smile changes. I have worked in the field since 1976 and have seen our profession evolve. What hasnt changed, though, is how happy people are with their finished smiles!

I handle all things related to ensuring a pleasant orthodontic experience. I seat patients, take X-rays and impressions, size bands, and prepare teeth for bonding. I also shape and place wires, talk with patients and parents about home care, and update parents about progress. Additionally, I bake birthday cakes for referring dentists and gift baskets for patient contest winners.

Byron, my husband, is a retired state police captain. We share his daughter, Angela, and have two grandsons. Outside of work I am very active in my church, where I serve on the personnel and finance committee and am in charge of the kitchen. I love to fish, garden, travel, and be with family. I also have a deep passion for baking, cooking, and organizing, and I love to host parties, decorate, and craft!

I love watching the patients come in at a young age and shy with a challenging smile. Then treating them for the next few years and seeing their personality develop and their confidence grow. Thats the best part of working in orthodonticsseeing all the smiles!

I joined Dr. Bryans team in 2004. As one of his assistants, I assist with patients treatment, keep a log of all appliances coming in and going out of the office, make sure all appliances are delivered on time and train new staff members on our policies and procedures. We have a great team and everyone here works well together for the benefit and welfare of our patients.

I come from a very large family where I am the youngest of nine. My father passed away when I was very young, so my mom raised all nine of us on her own! My family is very close; we are each others best friends. I am also a huge Dallas Cowboys fan, along with my entire family.

Bryan Orthodontics is committed to providing the highest quality of clinical care and personalized service in a warm and compassionate atmosphere. Dr. Sammy Bryan and our teamenjoy getting to know each patient and thefamily, and love creating relationships that last multiple generations.
