I've been a patient here for many years . There's always an issue or a problem with employees and hygienist. today will be the last day I return October 28, 2022 I had a schedule an appointment for follow up clean up got my x-rays done, was seen by Dr. SAMEH Aknouk dental services PC. Parkchester location 1473 west Avenue Bronx 10462. After waiting two hours I was told that I will have to make another following appointment to come in, because the hygienist was going to lunch and there was no one else. This is unacceptable unprofessional service. I don't recommend people come here it's a waste of time. how dare you ! no apology was given, Employees and staff receptionist should be ashamed of yourself working for this crook in parkchester, Dr.SAMEH is money hungry. Why is this place still in business? I will make a report contacting Better Business Bureau in regards to this matter. I will never come back here again!

Dr. Aknouk is the worst dentist that I met in my life. I can't give him even 1 star. He sent me to the surgery center for tooth extraction. The doctor In surgery center refused to remove my tooth and said that I can and I need to save the tooth, he said to go back to Dr.Aknouk and to get referral for the root canal. In 2 days I was by him again and he refused to give me the referral and sent me to the surgery center on 1241 Castle Hill Ave. and said that over there they will extraction my tooth without a problem. I felt very weird about this and went to the Endodontist Dr. Stuart Chassen for consultation by myself and paid from my pocket and his answer was that I can't remove this tooth because it is very bad for my bone, that this tooth is good and that I need and I can to save it. I called to my insurance for the help, they called to dr. Aknouk and asked why he doesn't give me the referral for root canal. Dr. Aknouk answered that this is my wisdom tooth. I counted my teeth and got that this my second minor tooth and I don't have any wisdom tooth in my mouth in all. I called to him and ask to check up my x-ray one more time. His receptionist said to call back in one hour. I called many times after this, nobody picked up the phone, I left 2 messages, but nobody called me back. Yesterday I had an appointment by other dentist as second opinion, but I paid from my pocket again, because all the money from the insurance dr.Aknouk got. I got referral for root canal from second doctor and he found one more problem with my teeth also, that I had for a long time and dr.Aknouk didn't remark this. So, people, please don't trust to dr.Aknouk, he is unprofessional ,not decent, not honest person. Go to the second opinion ,because you can lose good teeth.

Went run for yearly cleaning and replacement crowns and he found I needed a lot more work. I agreed and have pretty hefty co payment. Just received first job on I'll wait until January to do other work. So far I'm pretty satisfied and he takes my insurance for basic services which I was paying out of pocket at previous dental office.

I was looking for a new dentist near my home, and had come to the office to schedule an appointment. The person I was with went in ahead of me, and asked to use the bathroom. Even after explaining he had prostate cancer, the ignorant receptionist still said "no, if I let you use it, I have to let everyone." What a juvenile response and proof they have 0% empathy. Needless to say, I would not go there or recommend that anyone does!

Went there twice for scheduled appointment and doctor was not there. He left and no one called me to tell me not to come. Called to reschedule. Phone rings once and then hangs up...

Currently I have been trying to get an appointment. Everytime I contact the office the dentist is supposedly on vacation. The front desk staff is rude and unprofessional. I don't know what there issue is when I call but it's every time. I'm going to report this establishment to the BBB.

I was scheduled for an appointment at 9:30am and was not even called for an x-ray after 2 hours. I decided to eventually leave because after a 2+ hour wait because it was not worth it. This is possibly the worst dentist clinic in the area. I highly recommend another location. I also believe they have fake reviews so DO NOT BELIEVE THEM!!!!

If you're willing to spend the day here then don't come to this dentist. Writing this as I wait here! Had an appointment for my husband at 9:30 had to take a day off from work and still not being called yet 2 hours now!!!!!!!! There is walk in appointments which is unfair that they go before us when we had a scheduled appointment! There are better dentist around with less wait time save yourself and don't come! Just waiting to see how the dentist is like but so far will not be coming back this is just ridiculous and unprofessional. Update after waiting for too long and not being called after asking front desk why are we waiting so long. We left! There is no point of waiting any longer never going back what a waste of time and day. And they said hygienist was not in.... Will find a better place and service in Manhattan!

Excellent doctor!!! Very thorough and caring. I'm terribly afraid of the dentist and Dr. Aknouk was very sensitive to that and goes the extra mile to make you feel comfortable. There is no other dentist I would go to or recommend!
