Dr. Saba Lakhani was born and raised in Fairfax, Virginia, and then followed her fathers footsteps to the University of Maryland, College Park (Go Terps!) and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Neurology and Physiology. After concluding a fellowship in Dental and Craniofacial research at NIH, she continued on to Howard University, College of Dentistry for her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Dr. Lakhani then completed a General Practice Residency at St. Elizabeths Hospital in Washington, D.C. before going into private practice. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, The Greater Washington Academy of Women Dentists, and the Southern Maryland Dental Society. She still enjoys keeping current by participating in post-graduate and continuing education courses throughout the year and is currently working towards her AGD Fellowship.
Dr. Lakhani has been providing residents of the DC Metropolitan area with outstanding dental care since 2001, and enjoys working here in Bethesda, where she also lives. She believes that dentistry goes beyond merely treating teeth, that it really involves communicating and building relationships with patients.

There are many good experiences I can share , but on top of everything whenever I have teeth issues and need of cleaning after every 4 months I come to Doctor Saba Lakhani Clinic ( BCC ) Because of Doctor Lakhani is very Caring/friendly and very professional in her work and also whoever I met in Clinic were always very accommodating and helpful in every visit ,and now my whole family goes to BCC Clinic for all their's Dental care. Best dentists ever!! I have never been to a dentist that is invested in my comfort and satisfaction while doing a remarkably good service. Staff are pleasant and professional, the place is clean and comfortable. It's an overall very pleasant experience. We have found our forever dentist, for sure.

Wonderful team of dentistry professionals at BCC smiles. Really compassionate care focused on patient comfort and wellbeing. The front office staff are really well organized and manage the covid protocols very well. The space is bright, clean, and feels well-ventilated. Dr. Lakhani always takes time to explain procedures before and during.

This office suffers from extremely poor communication. They cancelled my appointment within one hour of its' scheduled time. The cancellation was due to the fact that I had not undergone a Covid test after travel to the Kansas City area, despite the fact that I have been fully vaccinated and followed all federal guidelines for travel. I had informed them several weeks prior to the appointment that I was exchanging my appointment time with my husband due to the fact that I would be traveling. No mention was made about the necessity of the Covid test at the time I changed the appointment. The irony of encouraging people to continue with their dental care through the pandemic and then turning aside a patient who has fully complied with every and all public health recommendations is not lost on me. My husband and I will not be continuing our dental care with this practice.
