Dr. Saba Lakhani was born and raised in Fairfax, Virginia, and then followed her fathers footsteps to the University of Maryland, College Park (Go Terps!) and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Neurology and Physiology. After concluding a fellowship in Dental and Craniofacial research at NIH, she continued on to Howard University, College of Dentistry for her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Dr. Lakhani then completed a General Practice Residency at St. Elizabeths Hospital in Washington, D.C. before going into private practice. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, The Greater Washington Academy of Women Dentists, and the Southern Maryland Dental Society. She still enjoys keeping current by participating in post-graduate and continuing education courses throughout the year and is currently working towards her AGD Fellowship.
Dr. Lakhani has been providing residents of the DC Metropolitan area with outstanding dental care since 2001, and enjoys working here in Bethesda, where she also lives. She believes that dentistry goes beyond merely treating teeth, that it really involves communicating and building relationships with patients.
