Dr. Brian Liu was born in Taiwan, where he attended Taipei Medical University, School of Dentistry, to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.). In 1995, he moved to San Francisco to further his education at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Liu was awarded a Master of Science in Oral Biology with a Specialty in Pediatric Dentistry. He is board-certified and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Liu has dedicated more than twenty years of his life to the pursuit of excellence in dentistry. Not content to solely practicing dentistry, he has been teaching at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) for more than ten years. He makes a commitment to share his knowledge with students and residents. As an Associate Professor, Dr. Liu gave special lectures on cosmetic pediatric dentistry to pediatric dental residents at UCSF. Dr. Liu has also taught pediatric and emergency residents the intricacies and special considerations involved in treating pediatric dental emergencies at Stanford University Hospital & Clinics and the Lucile Salter Packard Children's Hospital.
Moreover, Dr. Liu is the co-author of one chapter of the textbook A Practical Guide to Pediatric Emergency Medicine entitled: 'Chapter 21: Caring for Children in the Emergency Department,' published by Cambridge University. He has also been invited to lecture at numerous local dental study clubs and international pediatrics conferences. In his unique practice, Dr. Liu does not limit his practice to only 'functional' pediatric dentistry but also includes 'cosmetic' pediatric dentistry. His office provides state-of-the-art techniques, materials, and equipment, such as digital x-rays, laser treatments, a completely paperless system, and a child-friendly environment. Furthermore, Dr. Liu 's staff is a specially trained team working together to meet all of your child 's dental needs.
In addition to his devotion to his patients, Dr. Liu finds time to pursue his love of music which includes playing the violin. He also enjoys playing golf. Dr. Liu is especially enthusiastic about airplanes, evidenced by his new office design with a playful yet professional airplane motif that children are sure to love. I have been a patient of Dr. Ho for almost 5 yrs. I have had serious dental issues all my life (crowns, bridges, you name it). I came to Dr Ho at the recommendation of a work colleague to treat a failed bridge. The treatment required a complicated root canal, and two implants. Dr. Ho treated me with great care and competence. Both implants have been in place for over 2 yrs now, and have been performing flawlessly, She has also done several crowns. She is gracious, extremely detailed oriented and incredibly caring (she upped my home dental care, which already was quite high, significantly). Moreover, she is very responsive and available. I obviously have known quite a few dentists in my life. Some of them were quite well known. Dr Ho is on par with the best of them.

My 7 year old had her 6 month check up, X-rays, and cleaning on 12.28.2020. Lida did an amazing job making my shy daughter feel right at home! The X-ray machine is easy, quick, and painless - no plastic films in the mouth, so easy! The cleaning was executed beautifully by Lida, she explained everything to myself and my daughter. She even asked my daughter what flavor polishing paste she preferred! Dr. Liu always does a thorough exam, and ask me "what are your concerns/questions..." before I even have to ask. He thinks ahead and plans out future treatment needed for a perfect smile and bite! Angela in the front office always greets us with a smile and helps us schedule future appointment. We have the perfect Dental Team!

I have been happy with the care provided by Dr. Ho and the team in the past year. They are very professional and careful. I feel safe to be here for regular tooth cleaning despite the pandemic.

I never thought I'd give a dentist a 5-star rating, but Dr Ho has been great at fixing up my teeth, explaining and showing why certain procedures may or may not be necessary, and working with my insurance to get me the best deal. The dental visits have been -dare I say- pleasant and I would highly recommend this place!

My siblings and I have been seeing Dr. Liu for as long as we can remember (at the very least, 15 years!). He and his staff are great and we always have good experiences. Can't keep us away! Highly recommend.

Dr Liu (dentist), Dr Lee (anesthesiologist) and the other staff are all wonderful with my adult daughter with autism. We parents, the group home staff and the dentist office work together as a team to make the experience as smooth as possible. My daughter's medical team is also part of the team in that we coordinate so that the anesthesiologist draws blood for the blood tests they request while my daughter is sedated. For parents of a developmentally delayed adult, there are many worries. It's tremendous for us that dental care is not one of them.
