Dr. Kapetanos-Panas grew up in Roslyn and graduated from Herricks High School in 1993. She received her BA with high honors from New York University in 1997, and her DDS degree from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in 2002. After graduating dental school, she completed a two year residency program at Nassau University Medical Center where she was chief resident. Since her residency, she has been in private practice. In 2008, Dr.Kapetanos-Panas and Dr. Abramowitz became partners. She is now the sole owner of the practice.
Dr.Kapetanos-Panas is a member of the American Dental Association, New York State Dental Association and the Nassau County Dental Society. She furthers her dental education by taking numerous continuing education courses.

Great dental office, Dr Kapetanos is the only dentist that has successfully bonded my tooth. She is very skilled, takes her time to do a thorough job and explains everything. Office staff is great. I bring my children here as well.

The office is so friendly! The dentist and her staff are knowledgeable and skilled at their craft. They call you if there was some delay and they are running late. Before going here, I dreaded cleanings/etc. Now I enjoy going and catching up with the staff.

IMPT: READ BEFORE VISITING. There are plenty of qualified dentists in Syosset. The real difference comes in the support staff and how they treat new patients. I reached out for an initial visit and spoke with by far the rudest and most arrogant receptionist I have ever encountered: SUSAN. Not only did she talk down to me the entire time, she argued with every little statement or response I made, and refused to be cooperative in any meaningful way. She liked to add, "I've been in this business a long time" with every response she made. I have never been so disgusted and offended by a medical secretary in my life. The perpetual condescending tone, the offensive quips and jabs at my "knowledge of dentistry," and non-stop sighing are a new low for this profession. If Dr. Roula Kapetanos Panas is reading this, I want you to know that you lost a customer and a patient all due to the arrogance and rude behavior of your secretary Susan. I advise you either fire her or put her on notice. Ridiculous experience. I'm taking my business elsewhere. I'll be informing my friends and family to do the same.

I needed a crown on one of my front teeth. I had already had it done with one dentist and it looked horrible. Dr. K took such great care of me and was so detail oriented to make it perfect. She even sent me to the lab so they could color match perfect. End result is one beautiful smile and 2 perfect front teeth. Thanks to everyone in the office especially Iva who had been telling me to come in for a year! Syosset family dental is the best!
