Dr. Alex Miller is a native of the Nashville area. He is a 2013 graduate of David Lipscomb Academy. He met Dr. Swang when he was playing for the Academy baseball team. In 2017 he graduated from Lipscomb University with a degree in Biology. While in college Dr. Miller was active throughout campus spending his spring breaks serving on mission trips in Honduras. In 2016 he traveled to Baja, Mexico for a dental mission trip.
Dr. Miller continued his education at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Dentistry graduating with his dental degree in 2021. While in Memphis, Dr. Miller met his wife, Caroline. They are excited to be in Nashville serving the community!
Dr. Miller is a current member of the Tennessee Dental Association and American Dental Association. He enjoys cheering for the Georgia Bulldogs, Atlanta Braves, Nashville Predators and Tennessee Titans, playing golf, duck hunting with his wife's family in Arkansas, and spending time with family and friends.
Dr. Ronald A. Swang grew up in Nashville, Tennessee. He attended David Lipscomb High School, and David Lipscomb College. He graduated cum laude with a degree in chemistry. Dr. Swang attended the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in Memphis and graduated in 1974. Following graduation Dr. Swang had an externship with the State of Tennessee Department of Public Health and served as a dentist for Montgomery County Public Health. He set up a general dentistry practice in the Green Hills area of Nashville where he has been practicing in the same building since July of 1975.
Dr. Swang is an active member of the American Dental Association, Tennessee Dental Association, the Nashville Dental Society, the Greater Nashville Dental Study Group, the Dawson Academy, and Cerec Doctors. In order to fulfill his goal of providing his patients with the best dental care possible, he is continually striving to improve his education, technology, and office environment.
Dr. Swang and his wife Susan were married in 1975 and have two children. He began coaching girls softball when his daughters began to play and has been a volunteer high school softball coach for Lipscomb High School coach since 1999. He has also had the honor to be the team dentist for Lipscomb University since his graduation. Dr Swang and his wife attend Hillsboro Church of Christ where they have been active members since their marriage.
Michelle is one of our dental hygienists and has been a part of our team since 1999. Although, sometimes it feels like a lifetime since Dr. Swang was Michelles childhood dentist! She will help you keep your teeth healthy and clean and can answer your hygiene questions. When Michelle isnt working, she can usually be found at a soccer or basketball game with one of her two children.
Julie is one of our dental hygienists and has worked with Swang Dental Care part-time for the past 26 plus years. She has a very gentle touch and takes great care of her patients. Julie was born and raised in the Nashville area and is a graduate of the University of Tennessee in Memphis where she received her degree in dental hygiene. Julie is married and has two children.
Cathy is one of our dental assistants and is also our longest employed team member! She has been with Swang Dental Care for almost 30 plus years. Cathy can truly say that she enjoys working in the dental profession and taking care of our patients. She is highly skilled and can do just about anything that the dentist can do! Cathy is married and has two boys.
Abby is one of our dental assistants. She has been with Swang Dental Care for the last 10 plus years. Abby is very talented at what she does and makes our patients feel at ease in the dental chair. She is married and has two children. Outside of the office, Abby enjoys running, photography and beach vacations!
Lisa is one of our dental hygienists and has worked with Dr. Swang part time since 2003. She is a graduate of the University of Tennessee in Memphis. She enjoys getting to know her patients and providing the care they deserve. Lisa is married and has two children and two grandchildren. Her hobbies include reading and playing golf.
Angela is a Registered Dental Assistant and works as front office assistant. She joined Swang Dental Care in 2018. Angela has been a dental assistant for 30 years, working as an Oral Surgery assistant for 20 years, Her calm and gentle manner makes her a welcome addition to our team, Angela and her husband have four children, and three grandchildren. She enjoys spending time with her family and traveling, especially to the beach!
Marie is one of our hygienists and has been working part time with our team for several years. She is a graduate of the University of Memphis where she earned her bachelors degree in dental hygiene. Maries outgoing personality makes her patients feel comfortable and at ease during their time in our office. Marie is married with twin girls and loves spending time as a family at the lake and the beach.
Andrea is our newest edition to our dental hygiene team and comes to us from California. She has a easy-going personality that you will learn to love. Andrea is thorough, but gentle with her dental cleanings. On her free time, she enjoys hiking and vacationing with her husband and daughter.
