Dr. Ron Zufall grew up in Anderson, California, where he developed a love for both Northern California and dentistry. Inspired by how much his own dentist, Dr. Leon Nelson, loved his job, he spent time during high school and college working in the office to get a closer look at the profession.
After graduating fromUC Davis(Go Aggies!), Dr. Zufall started dental school atUC San Francisco. During this time he also married his lovely wife, Teresa, who he met during his senior year at Davis. Despite enjoying the perks of living in a big city, like watching Oakland As games on the weekends and trying new restaurants in between classes, clinics and labs, he always intended to return to Northern California to practice dentistry. After graduating in 1990, he moved to Redding and started working for Dr. Crabtree. Over time he became a partner and then bought out the practice in 1994.
While his love for dentistry keeps him busy at work, Dr. Zufall enjoys spending his free time giving back to the community. He currently serves on the Shasta Union High School District Board of Trustees after spending 12 years on the Grant School Board of Trustees, and volunteers as the Organizational Representative for local Boy Scout Troop 37. He also is a member of Pathway Church here inRedding.
In his free time he enjoys fishing, SCUBA diving, traveling, camping, backpacking, golfing, kayaking and most anything that will take him outdoors. On top of his volunteer and recreational activities, he attends about 50 hours of continuing education every year, twice the amount that is required for state licensing. Traveling across the country to attend classes gives him the additional perk of visiting his five grown children, all of whom are either attending or have graduated from UC Davis, like their mom and dad.

Dr. Zufall's office and staff are fantastic!! They are not condescending regarding how you care for your teeth but gently provide recommendations to help you! Dr. Zufall will even call after a procedure to see how you are doing! The dental hygienists are wonderful! The administrative staff is efficient and caring! I wish all medical offices were like this. I sometimes dread seeing doctors but Dr. Zufall has a geniune caring for people and the best part is he is really funny and makes you laugh!!!! He provides superior dentistry with no pain involved! I cannot even begin to say how wonderful he and his staff care for their patients. If you hate going to see a dentist, Dr. Zufall will change how you feel.

Dr. Zufall has been our family's dentist for 20 years, at least. He is, without question, an honest, ethical businessman and dentist. Two of my "original" (baby) teeth did not have adult teeth behind them to push them out. Obviously, these teeth would not fall out on their own right away, but Dr. Zufall said they were not causing any problems, and he felt we should wait. He said, "I should make some money on them some day, but they could go with you to your grave." Right then I knew he could be trusted to be honest, and that just makes life easier. We all had a visit in to see Dr. Zufall when he first took over the practice, and we were cautiously optimistic that we got lucky with him. While we were eating dinner one evening, the phone rang. My husband answered it, made a couple of comments to the caller, came back to the table and told us that was our new dentist, and he was checking on my husband who had a filling replaced that day. That had not happened before! Our family has been through dentists, orthodontists and pedia dentists, for one of our children who needed extensive work done. Dr. Zufall is the best, most trustworthy and qualified dentist in the North State! Kindly, Eileen Woodfill

I have wildly sensitive teeth, and going to the dentist has always been scary and painful. I'm so happy I found Caring Dentistry. Dr. Zufall and his staff are professional, gentle, and take time to make sure the experience is thorough and as gentle as possible. The office is sparkly clean, equipment is state of the art, and every person is kind and friendly. I couldn't recommend them more heartily.

Dr. Ron Zufall and his staff are the best and most professional group of people I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Ron is by far the best dentist I have ever been to and he always amazes me with the quality of his work. I would highly recommend Caring Dentistry to anyone. They are simply the best.

My husband and I both have very tight schedules, so I was ready for a long conversation when I called today to book appointments for the two of us. I wasn't even sure if we'd be able to make it work. But within 60 seconds Deborah had found a day and time that worked for both of us to come in together, which will make our week so much easier. Just another example of why we love Dr. Zufall's office!!

I have been going to Dr. Zufall's for years and have always appreciated the friendly efficient staff, I never wait long and . Dr Zufall's friendly expertise puts me a ease. Recently, I broke off my front tooth. Dr. Zufall recommended a titanium post and crown. I never thought the process could be so pain free and the outcome was a prefect matched front tooth. Thank you for making what could have been a nightmare into a surprisingly easy experience.

I had an issue with a composite repair to a tooth and was told by my regular dentist (I've been with the same office for more that 50 years) that it would be 5 or 6 days before I could be seen. I was worried about seriously damaging my tooth and didn't want to wait. I called Dr. Zufall on the weekend and he answered his cell phone, even though he was out of town. He had me call the office on Monday and they got me in right away. The repair took less that 20 minutes! Dr. Zufall and his staff made me feel like a person, instead of a number. Obviously, I have switched dentist and I'm quite happy.
