Alyssa grew up in Grand Marais and graduated from Cook County High School. After receiving her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 2004, she joined her father, Dr. Rolf, in practicing dentistry, then took over the practice in 2008. Dentistry is always evolving, and sheenjoysexpanding her knowledge andavailableservicesthrough continuing education.She is a member of the ADA, MDA, NEDDS and AOS.Shewas instrumental in the creation of theOral Health Task Forceandcontinues to support their efforts as a board member and with her services.
Alyssa and her husband, Jonathan, havethree daughters; their family loves sailing, swimming, traveling and adventures of all sorts. Alyssa also enjoys astrology, fashion, knitting, and sewing her own clothes.She is thankful everyday for the opportunity to live and work in a community she loves.
Dr. Pat Pawlowski grew up in the Chicagoland area and is proud to be a fourth-generation dentist. Heattended Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI, and graduatedin 2017 from Marquette University School of Dentistry, where he was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the National Dental Honors Society. After spending many summers working in Minnesotas beautiful lakes country he broke with tradition and left Chicago to join Grand Marais Family Dentistry in 2017.He enjoys serving the community by helping people achieve their oral health goals.
Bonnie has been practicing dental hygiene since 2003. She moved from the Twin Cities to Grand Marais in 2016. She splits her time between Grand Marais Family Dentistry as a hygienist and as the Education Coordinator for the Oral Health Task Force. She loves spending time with her four wonderful children Sean, Aaliyah, Alonzo, and Eva. Shealso enjoys the outdoors, spending time with her horse,and just being around the Big Lake.
Kristy graduated from Hibbing Community College with a degree in Dental Assisting andhas been working at our office since 1989. She and her husband, Craig, have a son and two grandchildren. When not at work, Kristy spends her time traveling to Canada or their cabin, where she enjoys camping, snowmobiling, and spending time with her grandsons.
Cathy received her degree in Dental Assisting from Hibbing Community college.A native of International Falls, she joined the office in August of 1997.Cathy and her husband, Dennis, have two adult children.Her greatest joy is being a grandma to Zachary, Leighton, Hailey, and Millie.She also enjoys fishingand is very active in water fitness and Zumba.Each summer, she grows tons of gorgeous tomatoes, vegetables and flowers!
Parinda received her BA in Communication Arts (Public Relations). She joined the office in 2018after movingto Cook County to be closer to family.Parinda has a passion for cooking and enjoys sharing food from her home country of Thailand with the Grand Marais community. When she isnt cooking, she spends a lot of her time playing pickleball at the local YMCA.She enjoys working at the dental office and is excited to further her education.
Melissa moved from Colorado to her husbands hometown of Grand Marais in the fall of 2012, where they are raising their three boys. After working various jobs, she found her niche at the dental office in July of 2017. She has always had an interest in the medical industry and is excited to further her education. Melissa and her family have a love for the outdoors;They spend their free time hunting, fishing, hiking, swimming, and biking -- anything that gets them outside.
Karina received her Bachelors degree in music and math from Simpson College in 1996.She started in the reception area of the office in 2010.Karina is the primary musician at Bethlehem Lutheran Church and music director for the Grand Marais Playhouse.She sings in a jazz quartet and teaches piano lessons.Karina is becoming certified in healing touch for animals, and spending time with her dog, Delilah.
Rose has spent most of her adult life as a freelance artist, performing as a storyteller and Swedish folk singer, and writing children's books. The 2020 pandemic sparked a serendipitous career change and she's loved being part of Grand Marais Family Dentistry.She spends her free time in her flower garden, walking her high-energy dog in the woods, trying to convince her highly-offended cat that the dog isn't that bad, hanging out with her goofy middle-school son, or sneaking extra baked goods from the family business, Art House Bed & Breakfast.
