A large portion of our patients have been receiving care at Cranford Family Dentistry for over 25 years, as we are a family oriented practice, taking excellent care of families, both children and adults. Our dental office has been renovated and recently updated with our patients best care in mind. Comfortable, warm colors help bring the cozy reception room to resemble a beautiful living room space. Relaxing chairs and colorful rugs, as well as hardwood floors in our treatment rooms, maintain this unique feel throughout.
The reception area features a fireplace with a mantle and the television screens throughout the office will make you feel at home and entertained. Digital X-Rays, Intra-Oral Imaging and Photography are used to better diagnose, communicate and alleviate unnecessary radiation.
Dr. Robert Rizzi received his dental degree (DMD) from New Jersey Dental School (UMDNJ). He attended college at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, where he earned his undergraduate degree in 1985. Following dental school, Dr. Rizzi completed a year-long post graduate program in Oral and Maxillo-Facial Surgery at University Hospital (UMDNJ) where he received his fellowship certificate in 1990. He is also a graduate and active alumus of theDawson Academyfor advanced dental studies where he is recognized at the scholar level.
Dr. Rizzi is an active participant and firm believer in organized dentistry and maintains membership in the American Dental Association, the New Jersey Dental Association, and both Middlesex and Union County Dental Societies.
Additionally, Dr. Rizzi is a member of the Seattle Study Club (Princeton Division), the JAG1 and Dawson Study Clubs. He attends frequent lectures and seminars, often with his entire team to better meet the needs of his patients requiring more complex and sophisticated care.
In his leisure, Dr. Rizzi treasures spending time with family and friends. Fishing and exercise top his list of hobbies. He also loves his time in the kitchen with the children preparing meals especially when it involves preparing the fresh catch of the day.
I entered the dental field years ago after taking courses at Union County College. Not knowing much about the profession, I learned that I love helping people smile and encouraging them to enjoy good dental health for a lifetime.

having broken 3 top front teeth, i thought dentures would be the fix but...Dr Rizzi found a way to restore them all, better than before....& all in a painless way.....his staff is amazing, too.....

As always, Lisa was very comprehensive with her explanations of the cleaning process. Her sense of humor is so calming to the visit. The office staff is always pleasant and helpful when welcoming you to dental suite. Dr. Rizzi has shown his professionalism during my 25 years under his care. He has performed innovative procedures and gave a detailed explanation of the options to the issue. He gets an A+ for sure.

I have been a patient at Dr Robert Rizzi for over 15 years. I have heard many stories of bad dentists my whole adult life. I have never had any cavities and I consider Dr. Rizzi the very best professional. If he would never recommend things to me I don't need, that is a credit to his honesty. I also believe that going to see him and the amazing dental hygienists he has working with him as part of the team, contribute to my oral health. I always joke that I love the dentist because of "my Doctor!"

Exceptional doctor! I've been a patient of Dr. Rizzi's for 25years and counting. Someone who used to be afraid of going to the dentist as a child, remembers the struggles all too well. The doc and his entire staff always make me feel comfortable, welcomed and I can honestly say I now enjoy going to get my teeth cleaned and checked! The office takes every precaution during the pandemic. The entire staff is friendly, helpful, and expertly competent. Every step of the procedure is explained as the procedure is being completed. Ok is never good enough for Dr. Rizzi; the final result must be perfect! Highly recommend Dr. Rizzi and his staff.
