Dr. Robert J. Gange, a native of Hartford, Connecticut, has been in the private practice of orthodontics in Windsor and Vernon, Connecticut since 1973. After attending John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio, he received his dental and orthodontic degrees at Case Western Reserve University. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics, the highest distinction achievable in the specialty of orthodontics currently held by only 20 percent of orthodontists who seek this additional evaluation and testing of their clinical skills. In addition to his private practice, he is a clinical professor in the Orthodontic Department at the University of Connecticut, as well as an orthodontic instructor for the Hartford Hospital General Residency Program. He has lectured at many orthodontic meetings, published several articles on orthodontics in various professional journals and is an active member of the Central Connecticut Orthodontic Study Group.
Dr. Gange has been recognized every year in both Connecticut and Hartford magazines Annual Top Dentists Issues, and was the featured orthodontist in the December 2008 issue of Hartford Magazine. He has been interviewed in the November 2011 issue of Hartford Magazine, where he discusses the various options available in adult orthodontics. Once again he has been recognized in the August 2020 issue of Connecticut Magazine as well as the December 2019 issue of Hartford Magazine.
He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, the American Board of Orthodontics, the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics, and the Hartford Dental Society. He also serves as a research consultant for two major orthodontic materials companies.
Dr. Gange has been active in many civic organizations, including the Windsor Jaycees, and has chaired the Windsor Shad Derby three times. He has received the Windsor Chamber of Commerce Hallas Award for community service. He currently serves on the St. Gabriel School Board and the Windsor Youth Commission, where he was instrumental in helping the youth of Windsor establish its first skateboard park. He and his wife have two children and six grandchildren, and in his spare time enjoys being with his family, boating, salt-water fishing, photography and swimming.
Dr. Anu is a native of Simsbury, CT, and graduated from the University of Connecticut where she received her Bachelors of Science and DMD degrees. She went on to complete her orthodontics residency at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, the highest distinction achievable in the specialty of orthodontics. She has received several awards and honors for her clinical and academic work, including membership in the Alpha Omega dental fraternity of Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honor society.
Dr. Anus treatment philosophy focuses on creating beautiful smiles that will last a lifetime while maintaining overall oral health. She attends continuing education courses with an emphasis on multidisciplinary orthodontic treatment and is experienced with several treatment modalities including Invisalign and clear braces. In her spare time, Dr. Anu enjoys spending time with her husband and new son Callen, yoga, travel, reading, and baking. She loves meeting new people and is tremendously excited to join Dr. Gange and the team! Dr. Gange and Dr. Anu are proud to both be voted as top orthodontists by their peers.
Laura is our scheduling and finance coordinator and has been with the practice for over 20 years. She works hard to facilitate all aspects of the practice and can answer any insurance or scheduling questions you may have throughout treatment. She is a true multitasker. She and her husband enjoy the outdoors and have several years of experience adopting rescue dogs, including their most recent adoption a third rescue puppy named Bella.
Alyssa is an orthodontic assistant, materials preparation coordinator and fills in at the front desk when needed. She knows the workings of the practice inside and out. She grew up in Windsor and has been part of our team for over 15 years. When shes not at the office, she and her husband enjoy spending time with their almost-3 yr old daughter.
Heidi is an orthodontic assistant and laboratory technician and has been with us for over 15 years. She has a gentle touch and loves working with our patients to achieve beautiful smiles. When shes not at the office, she enjoys going to the gym and spending time with her two adult children and her dog.
Melody is an orthodontic assistant and graduated from the American Institute. She is a dedicated worker and enjoys learning about new technologies. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her family.
Tiffany is an orthodontic assistant and is studying part time, to obtain a degree in Biology. She always greets each of our patients and parents with a warm smile. In between classes and working at our office, Tiffany finds time for hiking, spending time outdoors and cheering on the NY Jets!
