A. Even if you brush your teeth after each meal, you can still miss some patches of plaque. When these patches go unnoticed, they can harden into tartar and present a real threat to your teeth. Getting your teeth cleaned twice annually scrubs away plaque and tartar before they become major problems, and your dentist can examine your teeth and gums for other issues, too.
A. Either a manual or electric toothbrush can keep your teeth clean and bright if you use it right and brush your teeth regularly. Make sure the head of your toothbrush is small enough to fit comfortably in your mouth and that it can reach all of your teeth easily. With a full set of X-rays, we can diagnose oral and dental health issues early and recommend treatments to get your dental health back on track quickly and easily. We also use X-rays to track the changes in your teeth over time.
A. Good dental hygiene and regular visits to the dentist will go a long way to preventing cavities. Simply brushing with a fluoride toothpaste twice a day, flossing, and using mouthwash in the evenings will prevent most cavities. You can also prevent cavities by eating a healthy diet and avoiding sugary foods and beverages. Sealants and other treatments at the dentists office can also help prevent cavities.
A. Practice consistently good dental hygiene habits and visit your dentist for a cleaning and exam at least twice a year. A. Yes, there is. In fact, you have a few choices when it comes to fixing the shape and/or alignment of your teeth without braces. Crowns, bonding, and veneers all offer options to cover your teeth and reshape them if they are broken, gapped, or uneven. You may also want to look into Invisalign, which uses a series of custom-made trays to realign your teeth and give you a straight, beautiful smile.

Regular visits allow us to examine your periodontal health, check for sore or irritated spots, and screen for oral cancer. I want to share my wonderful experience with Dr. Robert Halvak's clinic. As an immigrant, it was very exciting for me to go to a new dentist. I read reviews, and when I first came to the office, I liked the speed and polite staff, as well as the cleanliness. Here I found a problem with which I lived for 2.5 years, in my country my dentist could not help. I had my teeth professionally cleaned, my canals cured, and my crown put on. This is the fourth crown, and the most positive experience with a crown. Since everything went at once and there was no pain after. Dr. Robert Halvak and his staff are professionals and just good people.

I've got nothing but the best to say about Dr. Hlavac. Patient, knowledgeable, and an easy-going manner make him a great dentist to see for just about any dental issue. I've been a patient for over 17 years, and that includes my wife and two kids. Actually my kids aren't really kids anymore (20 and 22)! But Dr. Hlavac took fine care of my family for all those years -- and many more to come. Need a crown? I did... and more than just one. And all of them look GREAT! Just like natural teeth. I finally listened to him after several years and am being fitted for a night guard; I guess I'm hard on my teeth. But it's great advice and I'll follow it. He truly cares about my family and me, and that along with his dental expertise make me a fan for life.

Best densitst I've ever been to. I moved to Stockton and I drive all the way to concord to keep my dentist. Staff is always friendly and inviting. Dr. Hlavac is always informative and open to questions. Does not oversell or hard sale. A++++

As a provider under our new discount plan, we were excited to become a new patient of Dr. Hlavac, but we were suddenly turned away. Very disappointed at the LACK of Customer Service and being denied service altogether.
