After growing up in Marietta, GA, Dr. Robert Crawford attended Wheaton College, where he graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. He then continued his education at the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry, graduating with honors. During his time in dental school, he was introduced to local orthodontist and Augusta native, Dr. Isaac Holton, who mentored Dr. Crawford and ultimately inspired him to pursue orthodontics. Following dental school, Dr. Crawford decided to further his education by completing an additional 30 months of advanced specialty training at the Medical College of Georgia to earn his certificate in orthodontics.
Dr. Crawford is a Board Certified orthodontist and holds Diplomate status with The American Board of Orthodontics. He has been inducted into the national dental honor society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon, and is a Hinman Scholar. He was recognized for his service and leadership during dental school with his induction into the honorary society Alpha Upsilon Phi. Dr. Crawford is also a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Georgia Association of Orthodontists, and the American Dental Association.
Outside of orthodontics, Dr. Crawford enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, mountain biking, wakeboarding, and playing the guitar. He is a member of First Presbyterian Church of Augusta and is actively involved with Medical Campus Outreach, serving as a mentor to dental students at Georgia Regents University. Dr. Crawford hopes to continue upholding the tradition of excellence practiced by both Drs. Holton and Maness and to serve the CSRA community for many years to come.
Deborah graduated from Camden County College in 1988 and contributes at Crawford Orthodontics as a dental assistant. Deborah moved to the area from New Jersey in 2015 and has over 30 years of experience in dental assisting. She loves working with our patients, especially the children and brings skill, experience, and patience to her work. Deborah married her soul mate, Tony, in June 2015. She loves spending time with her family, including her children, Miranda, Matthew, and her granddaughter Kassidy, enjoys traveling, and cheering on her E-A-G-L-E-S Eagles!
Cheslie joined our team in March 2016. She graduated from dental assisting school in December 2015, and is OSHA and x-ray certified. She provides a fun environment for our patients and works hard to help them feel comfortable while they receive their treatment. Cheslies favorite part of our practice is the relationships she builds with our patients, and helping to create beautiful, new smiles. Cheslie is married to Brandon and they have a daughter named Kinsley. When not at our office, she enjoys spending time at the lake and the beach, crafting, watching Clemson football, and spending time with her family.
Michelle joined our team in November 2017. She has been in the dental field since 2006. She loves interacting with the patients and is very passionate about her work. Michelle has been married to her husband Barry since 1998. In her free time, she loves spending time at the beach, watching the South Carolina Gamecocks play and hanging out with her husband and friends.
Kristen is an Augusta native who joined our team in January 2018. She graduated with honors from Augusta Technical College with a degree in dental assisting in 2013. She enjoys assisting families and patients with their financial needs to help them achieve their beautiful smiles. Kristen married her husband, Matt, in 2016 and lives with her two dogs, Ahri and Ember. In her spare time Kristen enjoys traveling, playing with her dogs, visiting with family and friends.
Ashley joined our team in May 2018 as a Treatment Coordinator. Ashley graduated with honors in 2014 from Augusta Technical College and over 8 years experience in the Orthodontic field. She is very passionate about her job, loves interacting with the patients and making the experience fun. Ashley married her best friend Kenny in 2011 and they have 2 boys named Laiden and Logan. When not at the office she enjoys all things chocolate, spending time at the lake, watching college football (GO DAWGS), kayaking, working out, and spending time with her family.
Stephanie has worked in orthodontics for over 20 years. Aside from a short time away from GA, she has been with Crawford Orthodontics since 2013. She loves working with and establishing relationships with our patients.
Kayla joined our team in December 2019 after graduating from Augusta Technical College. She is passionate about our patients, making sure they always feel comfortable and have fun. Her favorite part about working in orthodontics is seeing the patient smile the day they have their braces removed. Kayla and her fianc Jared are tying the knot in October 2021 after being together for 5 years. She is a dog mom of four, Roscoe, Drax, Jade, and Drake, and loves taking them on walks or to the lake. She spends her free time watching Netflix, expanding her culinary skills, and planning her upcoming wedding.

Transferred here from another local orthodontist to get my braces removed. Everyone on staff was very friendly and Dr. Crawford along with all his assistants made me feel seen, accepted, and cared for, regardless of the condition of my oral health. God bless

I had my complementary exam recently with Dr.Crawford and his wonderful staff! I had never felt so welcomed and confident anywhere else but here! I did not have to wait a single minute when I arrived for my exam. I was greeted by everyone here. Dr. Crawford and his staff took their time answering all of my concerns with getting my first traditional adult braces. I was in and out under an hour! I am super impressed with the friendly and loving environment at Crawford Orthodontist. I am so happy that I took my time finding the perfect orthodontist here in Augusta! I will never go anywhere else, definitely referring friends and family here! They truly have made my whole week and month! I'm so excited to getting my braces!

Getting my braces done by Dr. Crawford was the best decision! My smile looks amazing! The care I received from the entire office was so sweet and helpful always! Dr. Crawford listened to all my teeth needs and concerns and explained everything throughly. I highly recommend seeing Dr. Crawford to get that beautiful smile you've always wanted! I was hesitant at first to get braces as an adult but I am so happy I went with Dr. Crawford!! It has been a little over 7 months now and I am so amazed at my results thus far. It has probably been 20+ years since I've been this confident. I no longer hold my mouth when I laugh and I don't smile with my mouth closed. Not only am I happy with how things are going, I am happy everyone is so kind! The atmosphere is awesome, the office is always clean and not once have I waited to be seen. Dr Crawford and his staff are very kind and very knowledgeable. I'm so pleased with my results. Dr. Crawford even got more spaces to close than we originally thought we could. Couldn't be more happier. Anytime I needed anything or had any concern at all, they were very accommodating.
