Dr. Mike Zambrowski has the privilege of serving the community he grew up in and has seen it grow and change. He attended Cape Fear Academy in Wilmington for high school, during which time, Dr. Mike achieved the highest rank in the Boy Scouts of America, Eagle Scout. For his Eagle Scout project, he constructed a man-made reef for small oysters to attach to and grow on. He worked closely with the NC Marine Fisheries for this project for the purpose of cleaning up a polluted section of the waterway behind Topsail Beach.
Dr. Mike received his BA in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina Wilmington in 2014, graduating with the distinction of magna cum laude. While there, he was inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi (top 7.5% of the student body) and Beta Gamma Sigma (top 10% of the business students) honor societies. He was also involved with many student clubs and organizations during his time at UNCW, including serving as president and vice-president of the UNCW Pre-Dental Club and Student Housing Committee.
Dr. Mike received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of North CarolinaChapel Hill in 2019. UNC Dental School is consistently ranked as one of the top dental schools in the country. In addition to receiving training in all fields of dentistry at Chapel Hill, he was able to serve 2 rotations at community health clinics across the state, providing dental care to patients who could not otherwise afford it.
Dr. Mike prides himself on being an excellent communicator with his patients, making sure they understand all aspects of treatment. He also respects his patients time and works to stay on schedule to keep patients from waiting to be seen. Dr. Mike has also brought the latest dental materials and equipment to the practice where digital x-rays, intraoral photographs, and electronic patients records are now available.
Currently Dr. Mike is a member of the American Dental Association, Tri County Dental Society, NC Dental Society, and NC Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Mike resides in Hampstead with his high school sweetheart, Taylor, and his golden retriever, Marsh.When not at work, he enjoys his family, fishing, brewing homemade beer, and kayaking around the sound.
Dr. Robert Zambrowski has had the privilege of serving Hampstead and the surrounding area for over 45 years. Dr. Zambrowski received his BA from Marquette University in 1970 and his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the NJ School of Medicine and Dentistry in 1974. Upon graduation, he further enhanced his knowledge and experience with a one-year residency at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital, and in 1990 he completed a two-year comprehensive dental program at the University of Florida.
In 1991, he became a Master in the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD). The AGD Mastership Award is presented to dentists who seek to provide the highest quality dental care by remaining current in their profession. In 2009, he received the prestigious AGD Lifelong Learning and Achievement Award.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, Cape Fear Study Club, NC Dental Society, and Past President of The NC Academy of General Dentistry. Currently, he serves as a dental examiner with the Council of Interstate Testing Agency (CITA), helping to administer the dental and dental hygiene exam to new dentists and hygienists. Dr. Zambrowski is also a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry and a Fellow in the Academy of Dentistry International. He was inducted into the American College of Dentist as a Fellow, and was honored with the Citizenship Award by the NC Dental Society in 2018. In addition, Dr. Zambrowski is active in many church, civic, and community activities and organizations, including Boys Scouts, and Missions of Mercy projects. Notably he is an Eagle Scout, receiving the National Eagle Scout Award in 2016 and the Silver Beaver award from the Cape Fear Council in 2018.
Dr. Zambrowski resides in Hampstead with his wife of 31 years, Lu Anne. He has two children, Abbey (Jeff) and Michael (Taylor), and two granddaughters (Haleigha and Jolene). When not at work, he enjoys his family, fishing, especially fly fishing, and traveling.

I have been going to Zambrowski Dental for over 15 years! I had an abscess tooth & Dr Z was the only one who would see me as an emergency case!!!! I have been a patient there ever since. Their work on my crowns was perfection and their prices are reasonable! I highly recommend this dental practice!

I've been seeing Dr. Zambrowski for a long time and am now being treated for my dental needs by his son Michael. They are great dentists and do the work that is needed for good oral health. Prices are very reasonable and the staff are great.

Dr Zambrowski has been our dentist for many years. Both father and son are excellent dentists and are an excellent blend of experience (father Robert) and latest techniques (son Michael). They do whatever they can to make dental work affordable. They try to understand every patient and their financial and health concerns. They are gentle and safe. They were able to devise a plan that worked very well for my wife and me and was affordable. We highly recommend both of them!

Returned to this family practice after 30 years of being away. First visit back was great - the staff and Dr. Michael Z were warm and welcoming. I have COPD and have been expressly forbidden by my doctor from wearing a mask due to the danger of it, and they were understanding and pleasant. 2nd trip back today - Missy at the front was welcoming but the old lady nurse, who I told during the first visit of my COPD, came out scowling after 15 minutes and rudely told me that I can't come back unless it's during a time when nobody else is there. I politely asked her if I should leave and she rudely said NO, I remember your situation - I JUST CAN'T HAVE YOU IN HERE! (the empty, large waiting room) and attempted to close me into a small patient room (science!!) to sit by myself as if I'm a diseased leper. I left. "Good morning! Sorry we are 15 minutes behind (so far.....) May I have you come wait in this room for your appointment?" would have been appropriate and I would have taken no offense. No shaming was necessary, and I will NOT be back.

I attended Zambrowskis dentistry for the first time the other day and the service was great! The staff was all very friendly and understanding. Not only was the environment great and welcoming, but also very professional and they are all great at what they do. I'll definitely will be returning and recommending them to my family and friends!

I'm not exaggerating when I say Dr. Michael gave me the best cleaning of my life. It had been probably 2 years since my last cleaning, so I had a lot of build up behind my permanent retainer, but he did an amazing job of cleaning it up without causing me any pain- I could feel how incredibly steady his hands were. On top of that, he's such a kind and personable human. He didn't shame me at all for going so long without a cleaning or having so much build up which a lot of dentists/hygienists like to do for some reason. He even went through the process of getting my most recent x-rays from my last dentist to try and spare me the radiation/cost of a new x-ray if possible since I don't have insurance. He ended up opting to do one x-ray for an implant that I received last year, and thank goodness he made that call, because it needs to be checked out by my oral surgeon. He still went ahead and took some preemptive actions to help control my implant issues. Highly recommend!!!!

I truly had the best dental experience here. Dr. Mike was very involved in my dental care and explained every step during my treatment. Another dentist had tried to upsell me, but Dr. Mike provided me with all treatment options before proceeding. I know without a doubt I can trust Zambrowski Dentistry.

In 20 years I've had general dentistry work but also crowns and other specialized work. I've always been satisfied with the quality work and the care to make sure the work is done without pain! I've had a toothache and have had Dr. Z meet me on the weekend.

I was extremely impressed by the positive attitudes of every one of the staff members. I was always greeted with a genuine smile (behind a mask of course), no matter who I talked to. Dr. Mike is so good at what he does, I had some work done in the back of my mouth and I didn't feel any pain or discomfort whatsoever, I've never had a dentist like that! I got to meet the student training under him and he was very professional, courteous, and intelligent; he really knew what he was doing. In my opinion that says a lot about the guy who was training him. They always explained to me what they were doing before they did it and that made me way more comfortable. It's really nice to know that there is a local dentist office with such friendly and relatable people running it, I wouldn't go anywhere else!

My husband, son and I were recently in the office as new patients. We needed to be established with a dentist in our new home town. I did my research before making the first appointment. I felt their website expressed an authenticity and genuine reasons for going into dentistry. Once there in the office, the entire team was wonderful! Missy was very warm and friendly at the front office. Dr. Mike and his assistant were wonderful! Dr. Mike was very gentle and thorough through his clinical touch and verbiage. I'm really glad we chose their dental team! They have taken really good care of our oral health needs and Dr. Mike was really great at explaining everything to my nine year old son during his exam and cleaning and also when he came back for sealants and the orthodontist referral he made. It's a great feeling to know we have found our new dental home!

BEST DENTIST OFFICE IN HAMPSTEAD!! I recently visited Zambrowski's office for an initial visit and what an amazing staff!! Everyone is so easy to talk to and they really make you feel at home. I have been to multiple dentists in the area as I have lived here for 12+ years and his office is the first place I would recommend anyone to go!
