Mary Paroline has been the Office Manager for Dr. Rick Coker's Smile Studio for over thirty years. Patients love her and she loves them right back. She is incredibly hardworking. Shes fun. Shes efficient. Shes friendly.
Mary is an expert in all things 'dental.' She has lectured to dentists and team members at several dental conferences. She trains new employees and teaches them how to value our patients. Everyone values her expertise.
According to Mary, when a patient says, Everyone here makes me feel so special, or I cant believe I enjoyed coming to the dentist, or they just give us a hug that makes working here so special. I can go home at night and say to myself, I really helped to make a difference!'
Kathy is the lead dental assistant for Dr. Cokers Smile Studio.She helps Dr. Coker during all phases of your dental treatment.She makes sure that all the materials and equipment needed during the procedure are close at hand.She keeps your mouth open and your teeth dry so that you get the best results possible.
Aside from her technical duties, Cathy makes sure her patients are as comfortable as possible. She adds moisture to your lips, checks to see if you need a pillow behind your neck or your back, she offers you a blanket to keep you warm and cozy and even a headphone relaxation system called NuCalm to make sure you are even a little dreamy.
Cathy is fairly new to Dr. Cokers Smile Studio, but she is an experienced dental assistant. She is friendly and so excited to be working for Dr. Coker. She absolutely loves our patients. Be sure to let her know how to make you comfortable.
Wendy Holdren is the hygienist for The Smile Studio. She will keep your mouth incredibly healthy by checking for the beginnings of periodontal disease and spirochete bacteria (the bad bacteria which can cause perio disease). Periodontal infections have been linked to heart disease and since CVD (cardio vascular disease) is the #1 killer of Americans, you don't want to have any gum inflammation.
Dr. Coker is affectionately known around town as The Smile Doctor. He is a cosmetic dentist in Tyler, Texas. In fact, he was the cosmetic dentist pioneer in East Texas. He creates beautiful smiles, treats mild-to-moderate sleep apnea, treats periodontal disease, TMJ (jaw) pain, migraine headaches, and helps patients keep their teeth functioning for years and years.
Dr. Coker has been practicing aesthetic and comprehensive restorative dentistry in Tyler since he graduated from the University of Texas Dental Branch. He takes numerous continuing education courses each year, he has lectured in several areas of dentistry,and he and his wife, Melinda,regularly host dental meetings in Tyler. Dr. Coker has been selected as a Texas MonthlySuper Dentistfor many years running.
His love and expertise for cosmetic dentistry gives Dr. Coker's patients the confidence that he will be able to give them the smile they have always wanted. He strives to be the best in the field of cosmetic dentistry and continues to learn, experiment with new ideas and educate other dental professionals, as well as his patients.

Honestly, you will not find a better cosmetic dentist in East Texas. Dr. Coker and his staff are truly the best. The most caring, professional, and detailed oriented dental office you will ever find. I love my new smile and my only regret is not doing it sooner!

Went to my first consultation appointment today & I LOVE LOVE LOVE everyone there My best friend referred me to them, she had her teeth fixed a few months back & they look outstanding! Can't wait for mine to be done! Update-went to my first exam yesterday, they done a very extensive exam (X-rays, scans everything). I had a tooth that had been hurting me for the past week. They got me in early this morning and got it taken care of. I had to call them during the night to get advice on what to do for the pain, they gave me advice & told me to call them back if I had any other issues. They were literally able to get me in the next day after I told them about it hurting! Yesterday, I was telling Dr.Coker about how I dislike dentist because I had braces and they were constantly in my mouth hurting me when I was younger. I used the phrase "I hate dentist" not literally but in general I don't like dentist. Today, when they took care of my tooth, they had me so comfortable during it that I think I fell asleep. I didn't feel any of it. I was so worried about it hurting but I had absolutely no pain. After he finished, he came to the front desk, hugged me & said "do you love me now?" This is absolutely amazing to me! He is so personable with every patient! I love that they make me feel like family instead of just a customer/patient. Dr.Coker can be very bluntly honest but I love that about him! I would rather not have everything sugar coated. Thank you to Dr.Coker & all his staff for making me so comfortable and helping me get my teeth taken care of!

I have had plenty of bad experiences with dentists & dental work. I have to say Dr. Lima and his staff were excellent!!! They put me at ease immediately. I needed both upper & to replace a full lower implant that was in there for over 15 years. I still have a few adjustments but the new work looks excellent. Dr. Lima is a perfectionist and takes his time while explaining the steps needed to make your smile beautiful and functional. I highly recommend him and their staff!

I love Dr. Coker and his staff. Wendy is a great hygienist and L. (Not Elle) always has been so welcoming. I would definitely recommend this office for regular cleaning as well as cosmetic dentistry.
