Upon completion of his undergraduate studies at Mercyhurst College in Pennsylvania, Dr. Lipscomb came to the Washington, DC area to attend Howard University's College of Dentistry. In 1993, he traveled to San Francisco to complete his residency at Advance Education in General Dentistry (AEGD). Once finished, Dr. Lipscomb returned to the Washington, DC area to work at a small community health center in southern Maryland. After serving three years, he advanced his career by joining Unity Health Care, Inc. Community Health Center as the dental director and staff dentist in Washington, DC. In December 2001 Dr. Lipscomb opened his private practice in Mitchellville, MD.
Dr. Lipscomb has worked as an adjunct assistant professor at the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry and as a faculty member at Prince George's Community College. Currently, he is a national speaker for several dental manufacturers. While lecturing to dental professional on restorative procedures and mini dental implants, Dr. Lipscomb has written many dental articles for well-known dental publications.
Alicia Joined our team at Woodmore Dental Center in 2011. Alicia is originally from Boston. She attended Forsyth School for Dental Hygiene at Northeastern University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. Alicia enjoys all aspects of being a prevention specialist. She feels most accomplished when she can educate patients and when they are happy to receive care. Alicia loves music, traveling and spending time with good friends and her dog Boston.
Crystal is from Washington D.C. and grew up in Oxon Hill, MD. She attended Northern Virginia Community College and graduated from Fortis College with an Associate of Science degree in Dental Hygiene in 2013. Before becoming a registered Dental Hygienist, she worked as a Dental Assistant from 1999 to 2009. Upon graduating Fortis College, Crystal joined Woodmore Dental. She has been with the practice since 2014. Crystal enjoys educating her patients about the importance of oral health as well as making sure they feel comfortable and are at ease with any dental fears they may have. When Crystal is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children as well as gardening.

Don't schedule here if you can't turn in the paperwork within 24 hours because then you can't be seen here EVER. No matter if life happens, either turn it in or you can't be treated.

Every visit was great. Professional staff. I ended up working remote due to Covid, so I had to look for another Dentist. Did not want to change at all. Thank you Dr. Lipscomb and staff!

I have been going to this practice since 2014 when I moved to the Bowie area. I always received top notch service and care. The dental hygienists are friendly, professional, knowledgeable and really show concern for my dental health and well-being. I have been cared for by Alicia and Crystal. They have actually made me look forward to my bi-annual appointments. When people complain about not wanting to go to the dentist, I look at them baffled because I don't know what that feels like. I brag and talk to my friends and family about this practice. I recently found out that they also serve kids. I plan on taking my kids there going forward. Continue the good work, Dr. Lipscomb and staff. You all are serving and representing your community with excellence and care. We notice and we appreciate it. I love the music choice too :).

My fave dental practice, professional and friendly from check-in to check-out. It's like the neighborhood practice you never knew you needed. The staff is very knowledgeable and takes time to explain and answer questions. I always refer friends, family and strangers to Dr. Lipscomb! Get there, you won't regret it!
