Dr. Dahar received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in 1972, then completed two years of orthodontic education at the University of Pittsburgh in 1974. Dr. Dahar was recently honored by Pittsburgh Magazine as one of the Top 100 Dentists in Pittsburgh.
Dr. Dahar and his wife Lorraine live in Gibsonia and have three children. Julie is a teacher and a mother to four beautiful children, Eric graduated with his masters degree in art and is currently working in Pittsburgh, and Gena is a teacher and a mother to two young children.
In addition to his love of golf, Dr. Dahar also enjoys skiing with his family. He is active in the community, and serves on the board of the Deer Valley YMCA Camp. Dr. Dahar happily supports many local youth sports programs, area schools, and community-sponsored programs.
Dr. Sencak graduated from North Hills High School. He then pursued his education atthe University of Pittsburgh where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree. During that time, he was also elected into the nation's oldest and most prestigious academichonor society, Phi Beta Kappa.
After completing 3 years of undergraduate education, he was awarded early admission into the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine where he completed his Doctorate degree in Dental Medicine. He was also elected into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, a national dental honor society. Upon completion of dental school, Dr. Sencak earned both a certificate in Orthodontics and a Master of Science degree at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry.
During his residency, Dr. Sencak was able to learn directly from two world-renowned orthodontists, Drs. Lysle Johnston and James McNamara , as well as the President of theAmerican Association of Orthodontics.
The northern suberbs of Pittsburgh have been Greg 's home for most of his life. 'I am honored to be able todedicate my time and knowledgeback to my hometown.' Along with supporting local recreation centers and charity fundraisers, Dr. Sencak has also been involved with the Special Olympics and has even organized free dental care events for the athletes. Aside from work, Dr. Sencak is an avid Pittsburgh sports team fan. He also likes spending time with family and friends, playing sports, and hiking.

He explained everything fully in detail he was quick to the point and got to the bottom line...the cost, he let us know our options & what it would look like. Their service is flawless. We started having their service in 2015. My daughter had her braces and got them removed 2 years ago and my son, 1 year ago. My son is currently on the 3rd phase of care and is now using a retainer as recommended by Dr. Dahar. They are very knowledgeable and professional with excellent customer service. Their facilities and environment are neat, and their staff is fantastic and friendly. When an emergency appointment is needed, they are all so kind and helpful. I'm glad we found them in the first place.

My family and I have been seeing Dr. Dahar for more than 20 years. We have always had exceptional service and now we all have exceptional smiles! We always look forward to seeing Dr Dahar and his wonderful assistant, Holly, when we go for our yearly checkups. It is also great to know we can get an appointment quickly if we have a concern.

Avalon orthodontics is great ! Dr.Dahar has been caring for my children for about 3 years now . They are always available , even if the office is closed . My daughter needed a wire fixed and they brought her when they were actually closed ! Everyone is so kind and always remember us. Especially now with the pandemic , they go above and beyond to ensure safety for everyone . We recently met Dr. Sencak , very nice that he took the time to talk to us so we could get to know him . We couldn't be happier with the care that our kids receive .
