The Mission of Reid & Reid Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics is to establish a mutual relationship of trust and appreciation with our patients while providing the highest quality of dental and orthodontic care in an efficient, productive and positive environment. Since May 2004, Reid & Reid has provided theseservices to Hendersonville, North Carolina.
All of us at Reid & Reid adhere to this mission and value the relationships we have with our patients. Glenda and Angelia provide excellent customer service at the front desk. Our fantastic clinical staff includes: Sarah and Victoria assisting with patient care on the orthodontic side, Lori assisting with patient care on the pediatric dental side and Charlene providing hygiene care on the pediatric dental side.
After graduating from dental school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, the Reids married and then moved to Ohio to complete their specialty training. While in Ohio, both Dr. Alison & Dr. Richard honed their skills by working in private practice in the Columbus and Cincinnati areas. They made their move south to Flat Rock in 2004, opening their joint practice in May of that year. Dr. Richard and Dr. Alison are both members of the American Dental Association, the North Carolina Dental Society, the Henderson County Dental Society and The Carolina Mountain Dental Education Club. When not seeing patients, you may see the Reids supporting local youth activities and enjoying the outdoors.
Dr. Richard is a specialist in the diagnosis and treatment of dental health problems in infants, children, and adolescents. After graduating cum laude from Hampden-Sydney College, Dr. Richard obtained his dental degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Richard then completed a one year residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) at The Ohio State University. Following completion of his AEGD, Dr. Richard practiced general dentistry in Columbus and the surrounding area until beginning his residency in Pediatric Dentistry at Cincinnati Childrens Hospital. Dr. Richard is board certified in Pediatric Dentistry by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and was awarded the Richard C. Pugh Achievement Award in 2003 by the ABPD. Dr. Richard and his wife, Alison moved to Hendersonville, North Carolina to open Reid & Reid Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics in May 2004.
Dr. Alison is a specialist in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics for patients of all ages. Dr. Alison graduated summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa from the University of California at San Diego. Dr. Alison received her dental degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and then moved to Columbus, OH where she completed a three year orthodontic residency and a Masters degree in Dentistry at The Ohio State University. Dr. Alison then moved to Cincinnati, OH where she practiced orthodontics for 2.5 years until moving to Hendersonville, North Carolina with her husband, Richard to open Reid & Reid Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics in May 2004. Dr. Alison is board certified in orthodontics by the American Board of Orthodontics.
