I've hated going to the dentist since I was a child due to the metal picks used for teeth cleaning. I found Dr Richard Ruff around 2012 and they use water picks! He's been the absolute best when it comes to cleaning and extractions for me, and the staff is exceptional. He actually removed my bottom right wisdom tooth today. Thank you so much.

Dr. Ruff is amazing! Hes not a talker (doesn't bother me) but he is very very good at his job. Dr. Urbanik and is great as well.

The receptionist were very polite got me in the next day. They also laughed with me when I misunderstood about calling when I get there and not when I'm leaving my work . Dr. Urbanek was who I seen 1st, he was outstanding, explained everything & helped me till I could be seen again. His assistant, not sure of her name but she was outgoing, very good with the public and professional. Had to come back for extraction on a Thursday called Monday asked if I could get in on Wednesday instead, & they were able to switch it. Seen Dr. Ruff , let me tell you I've had extractions & none were ever like this at all. the whole entire time I sat there in absolute comfort. This Dentist is very good at his work, I can't express how this Dr knows his job very well & he is very efficient, just beyond word's. Also his assistant Becky is very professional & answered all my questions as well as explained everything well.

Very nice to get me in for an appointment. First time patient, New to area. Look on my maps on my phone for nearest dentist with high star value, closest to my residence. This is Thu, and appointment is the 1st on Tues. I didn't wait this time for it to get worse than it already is. What was going to be one problem, quickly turned to two. Look forward in my first visit, the Doctor will love my jaws and mouth. Fred

I had a lower molar pulled , during the process, I had no pain at all. I have been to this office for regular cleanings. This was my first dental procedure at this office The office is clean, the staff is nice. I love the dentists ! I finally found a good place for me!

The office staff is extremely efficient and helpful. I felt very welcome and at home as soon as I walked in. The hygienist was very good, never causing any discomfort. She was very pleasant. I never felt anxious or nervous while I was being seen. Dr Ruff is very knowledgeable and my procedure went on with no pain or discomfort. I am so glad that I came to Newark Family Dentistry and Dr Ruff.

Dr. Ruff is the best dentist! His staff is also wonderful! He is completely trustworthy and always gives an honest opinion. I recently had a broken tooth and he took excellent care of me! As a physician myself I am very particular about my own healthcare providers and I can't imagine having another dentist.

This is the worst office I have ever dealt with. Dr Ruff can't even notice when you are grinding your teeth to the point that you crack them. The front desk people can't communicate about your appointment to fix said cracked teeth so you end up wasting your time going to their office. I would not recommend going here if you value your teeth.

The only dentists my two children have known and I go here as well. Amazing staff that do amazing work. Absolutely recommend this particular office. I accidentally made an appointment for my husband at the other and fully regret it from the moment we walked in the door. Definitely highly recommend this office.

Went in to check to see if a tooth was infect, and to get the ball rolling on getting my wisdom teeth removed. I called them prior to the appointment, and told them this. I let them know I wouldnt be able to get it filled that day. Things had popped up, stuff happens. On the phone, they said it was fine. When I got there, I reiterated the days intentions with the assistant in the back. But then the dentist came in, and looked at it for a second before going to begin to fill the tooth. I asked him what he was doing, and he said he was going to fill it. I let him know things had popped up, and I couldnt stay for the filling to be done. He threw the thing in his hand onto his table, said "Oh well, its just going to keep hurting you and keep hurting you until you come get it fixed." SERIOUS attitude, before storming off. Things happen. No need to be rude.

Dr. Ruff knows what he is doing! And I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND him to ANYONE that is needing work done.. I've been going to this Dentist since I was a kid and I cannot think of one time being in pain or unsatisfied with the work he has done!
