Richard Armand Gagne, D.D.S. is a native Californian. He attended California State University, Fullerton, and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry in 1976. From 1976-80 Dr. Gagne was a Dental Officer in the U.S. Navy, two years of which he was a dentist on the aircraft carrier USS Ranger (CV-61). He was directly responsible for the dental care of over 5,000 sailors and officers. This unique opportunity quickly expanded his dentistry skills and training. Dr. Gagne strongly believes in keeping abreast of the latest dental techniques through diligent reading of professional journals and publications. He devotes many days each year to continuing dental education courses given both in California and out-of-state, well above the requirements of California law. He is the consummate professional that stays current on the latest advances in dentistry so that his patients receive the finest of care. His education in Intravenous (sleep dentistry) Sedation is rare among general dentists. Since the Dental Board of California is so stringent, very few dentists have endeavored to seek and complete the training. Dr. Gagne is tireless in the pursuit of dental excellence.

Dr. Gagne was amazing with my husband Phil. He took his time and was very patient. I appreciate him for caring and taking the time to meet us in his office on Christmas Eve. I can not thank him enough!!!

Dr. Richard A. Gagne is one of the best dentist in the city. He is so professional and clean in his work. He is also very friendly. I had a phobia of dentists, but this clinic is completely different. Highly recommend.

I have had fear of needles anywhere around my face, but no where else, since a childhood "bad experience" during a surgery. I have actually run out of a dentist office because of that and at 70 years of age, you'd think I'd be over it, but no. Dr. Gagne is amazing. He explains everything, gives all options for necessary work to solve a dental problem, with prices, the pluses and minuses of each and makes sure you understand so that you both come up with a decision on the best procedure for you. I have been able to actually relax getting a shot of novocain because I feel confident in Dr. Gagne's skill and professionalism, and relaxed knowing he is taking the best care of me and my teeth. Thank you Dr. Gagne!

After hearing a lot of great reviews about this dental in town. I finally called to get an estimate, the receptionist Miss Claudia was very helpful and patient while answering all my doubts. This gave me a peace of mind since it is really hard to find someone who actually cares about the patients.

Very happy with my treatment at the Dr. Richard A. Gagne, Dentist. All the staff are helpful and considerate. Fantastic experience all round, I was made to feel relaxed and comfortable. Reception staff are super lovely. No need to ever look for another dentist in Oxnard!

Staff is super friendly and Dr.Gagne is very detailed and wont rush his work. This is the longest I've stayed with any dentist and I really dont like going to the dentist so this says a lot.

By far the best dentist and surgeon you could ever get! I had Dr. Gagne put in an implant and veneer for my front teeth and I couldn't be happier with the results. After a bone graft and one other surgery to prep my upper jaw bone for the implant and veneer the two went in and look amazing. Dr. Gagne is a perfectionist which is exactly what you want for someone redoing your front teeth. Ganzalo his right hand man is an awesome guy and very knowledgeable about what he does also. Before I would hate to smile and hate seeing pictures of my teeth, but now I can't stop smiling and brushing. Dr. Gagne took extra time and care to ensure my teeth came out perfect. He purchased special tools for prepping the teeth, and took extra time on weekends to contact me and check up after the two surgeries. I'm so happy to have found Dr. Gagne for my front teeth, best dental surgeon ever! Would highly recommend Dr. Gagne for any dental needs under the sun.
