Dr. Sewright is a graduate of the University of Minnesota Dental School. He has been in practice for over 30 years, over 15 in Phoenix. Our hygienists & assistants have been in the office for over 15 years with an emphasis on patient care and overall health. Our practice thrives by making patients dental visits a pleasant, friendly experience.
Dr Sewright and his wife Maureen have been married for over 25 years and moved to Arizona over 15 years ago. In his spare time he enjoys golf, being outdoors and spending time with family. Dr Sewright and Maureen have 3 daughters Megan who currently lives in Seattle and works for Tommy Bahama, Mary Frances attends the University of Portland and is studying psychology and Grace who is studying to be a physicians assistant at Elon University in North Carolina.
Dr. Jafari was raised in the Valley of the Sun where he did his undergraduate studies at Arizona State University and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry in 1996. He then went on to graduate with Honors from the Boston University School of Dental Medicine receiving his DMD degree in 2003. During his dental studies he was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, an honorary dental society for superior achievement in dentistry. Upon graduation he received an award from the American Academy of Endodontists for excellence in Endodontics. Having become a proficient clinician as a dental student, he was asked to stay on as a clinical instructor in the dental school, which he did for a year. In 2005, he left Massachusetts and moved with his family back to the Phoenix area.
In 2005, Dr. Jafari established his private dental practice in the East Valley where he continues to provide excellent service to the community. Over the years he has honed his skills in providing lifelike cosmetic restorations to improve his patients smiles. The confidence, experience and friendliness of Dr. Jafari and his staff enables them to provide gentle dentistry utilizing state of the art equipment and the latest techniques available today in a relaxed, comfortable and modern environment. He uses sedation along with music or TV with stereo headphones, which allows him to help patients who shy away from the dentist due to anxiety.
Professionally Dr. Jafari is active in the American Dental Association, the Arizona Dental Association and the American Association of Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Jafari is also an Associate Professor of Clinical Dentistry and volunteers his time and expertise teaching dental students and treating patients at the CASS homeless clinic in Central Phoenix. In his free time he enjoys golfing, outdoor activities and traveling.
