We have created an ambiance reminiscent of an Italian spa, with furnishings that make you feel as comfortable as if you were at home lounging in your own family room. Cookies are baked fresh in our kitchen throughout the day and are placed in our lobby for our patients to enjoy. We have vanilla scented candles burning throughout. Aromatherapy is used during treatment with specific formulations for calming and relaxing that Dr. has chosen and has custom made especially for our office by a local vendor to meet our specific needs. We have a massage therapist that is available to give foot and hand massages during yourtreatment. We use neck pillows, eye pillows and chenille blankets for additional comfort. We have attempted to address all five senses. Sight, smell, touch, taste and sound. The music we play has been carefully selected to give the feel of a relaxing spa. These are all stress reduction techniques and we find that it greatly enhances our patients experience here with us, creating a pleasant atmosphere where our patients actually look forward to coming to see us. A pioneer of Spa Dentistry, Dr. DellAcqua saw a need to transform dentistry and her dental office into a comforting warm environment in which her patients could relax and would actually enjoy their visits. Part of this experience is having a foot massage with aromatherapy during a procedure. This decreases blood pressure, decreases the amount of anesthetic needed and relaxes patients.
