Dr. Poirrier grew up in St. Bernard parish where he graduated from Archbishop Hannan High School. He attended UNO, where he graduated cum laude with a bachelor of sciences in biology. He graduated from LSU School of Dentistry in 2005. He has practiced in Lakeview in New Orleans, and Franklin, LA. Dr. Poirrier has spent the last twelve years practicing on the Northshore in Mandeville and is excited to continue to be a part of the community with opening Three Rivers Family Dentistry in Covington, LA. Dr. Poirrier has also spent ten years practicing with Children's Hospital on the Tooth Bus. Dr. Poirrier knows the importance of establishing a great relationship with the entire family especially the youngest members. Great hygiene starts early and the team at Three Rivers Family Dentistry is here to help them start off on the right foot. Dr. Poirrier welcomes you to Three Rivers Family Dentistry with twelve years experience in multiple areas of dentistry and experience working on patients of all ages. Dr. Poirrier loves dentistry and the personal relationships he has developed over his years in practice.
Dr. Poirrier met his wife, Beth, while at UNO. They were married in 2010. They have two children: Paige, 5, and Little Ray, 2. They also have four dogs. When not spending time with his family, Dr. Poirrier enjoys playing sports, working on his 66 mustang, and spending time on the water.
Patty graduated from Loyola University in New Orleans with a degree in dental hygiene. She has been a practicing dental hygienist for thirty-eight years. Besides general dentistry, She has seven years experience in periodontics and thirteen years experience in prosthodontics.

Staff is so very friendly, doctor Poirrier is very calming and only does work needed. He explains everything very well and gives you your options. Greatest dentist I have ever been to.

I recently was referred to Dr. Poirier by a friend. I am a very high anxiety person when having to go to the dentist. I cannot repeat enough that my anxiety levels are non existent with Dr. Poirier and his staff. This is really a first for me as i struggled for many years due to a terrible experience at a younger age. If your a person living with dental anxiety you must give Dr. Poirier and his staff a try! i promise you won't regret it! Gentle and caring. Explains everything to you prior to doing anything. I also suffer with gag reflexes. The staff and Dr. Poirier are understanding and patient as we know sometimes you need a minute to get the muscles under control from gagging. Staff is amazing! Dr. Poirier treats you as family. His office is immaculate, modern and very clean. I've never waited at all for any of my appointments. Walked right in and sat in the chair for my appointments. He doesn't overbook and allocates plenty of time for his patients. Dr. Poirier and his staff are Angels for those of us who live in anxiety and fear to go to the dentist. Dr Poirrier has been my family's dentist for years. Other places really just left us feeling like a number. They do a great job keeping us informed and making us feel a part of our dental care plan. Friendliest people you've ever met. Literally almost fell asleep while Patty was doing my teeth cleaning. I've had appointments after COVID and everything is fine; they were doing the mask thing before it was cool! Highly recommended!!

My favorite dentist office! Very accommodating, very clean and very comfortable. Dr. Poirrier is also amazing with kids! Every single staff member is extremely kind, helpful and takes great pride in their work. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great dentist office for their family.

Hands down the best dentist on the Northshore! Dr. Poirrier and his staff treat you like family immediately as you walk in the door. Ms. Patty is the best hygienist I have ever had; I have never had my teeth feel this clean at any other dentist! My entire family including my 2 year old son are under Dr. Poirrier's care and will be from this point forward.
