Dr. Ramos grew up in Southern California. He majored in Biology at California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks. While in college, he worked at a dental laboratory which sparked his interest in becoming a dentist. In 1993 he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of the Pacific Dental School. He practiced as a general dentist in Sonoma County before attending the University of Maryland where he received his certificate in Pediatric Dentistry. In 1999, he joined Dr. Steigner at our original office on Maria Drive in Petaluma and began his career in pediatric dentistry. When asked what he likes most about being a pediatric dentist, he says 'I love what I do and it doesn 't feel like work. As a dad, I appreciate the trust the parents place in me and it 's a privilege to watch their children grow up over the years. Even when the kids are old enough to graduate to an adult dentist, I still see their little face from their first visit with me when they were a toddler.
Dr. Ramos owns our practice along with his wife, Dr. Cheryl Willett, DDS, who is also a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist and practices part-time in Santa Rosa, Ca. They have two beautiful daughters and enjoy calling Sonoma County home. The Ramos keep busy with their daughters school and extracurricular activities, outdoor sports like racing mountain bikes and snowboarding, yoga and cooking.
Dr. Andrea holds a Masters in Public Health from Columbia University. While in New York, she narrowed her interests to oral healthcare. Dr. Andrea later went on to complete her Doctorate at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. She graduated with honors in Community Oral Health and decided to pursue a speciality in Pediatric Dentistry. After completing her residency at Childrens Hospital Colorado, she returned to the Bay Area to start her dental career working with her favorite population, KIDS!
Dr. Andrea is a Diplomat of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She prides herself on giving each child a positive and happy dental experience while providing kind, gentle, and individualized care. In her free time, Dr. Andrea enjoys traveling, hiking, yoga and baking. She is always exploring the Bay Area with her trusty sidekick, her Golden Retriever, Henry!
Sarah comes to us from Atlanta, Georgia with over 20 years of experience in medical administration and management in both the health and dental industry. If you have an insurance or billing question, Sarah is your person! She is always happy to help navigate the paperwork side of bringing your kids to the dentist. In her spare time, she has been enjoying exploring all Northern California has to offer. If you cross paths, let her know your favorite local places to visit, hike, and eat. Fun fact about Sarah.she started riding horses at the age of 3 and trained for the Olympics for 10 years. We are happy to have Sarah as part of our team!
Stacy started out as a patient and worked part-time as our sterilization tech while attending Casa Grande High School. After graduation she attended The Santa Rosa Junior College Dental Assisting program and returned to us as an intern. She graduated from SRJC with an Associates of Science degree and began working as a Registered Dental Assistant in 1995. Stacy enjoys working with kids and says,they are so much fun. Every day there is something new and the kids always make me laugh. Stacy is married to her high school sweetheart and they have two awesome boys that keep Stacy busy when shes not in the office. As a family, they enjoy camping, gardening and baking.
Linda started working in our office in 1989 after attending the Dental Assisting Program at Santa Rosa Junior College. In 1996 she and her husband moved to sunny San Diego where she continued to work in dentistry. When her husband retired in 2009 they returned to Petaluma and Linda re-joined our team part-time. We are so happy to have Linda back. She treats our patients like family and puts everyone at ease. Linda and her husband have two wonderful grandsons that keep them busy. She loves spending time with family and friends and taking adventures in her spare time.
Nicole has worked in pediatric dentistry for 9 years and joined our team in 2019. Her passion for working with children started at a young age when she would help her aunt at a family owned daycare. Nicole attended the Dental Assisting Program at Santa Rosa Junior College and graduated in 2007. Her soft and gentle demeanor with our patients is a great addition to our team. Nicole says, I love working with children, they are a burst of energy! In her free time Nicole enjoys spending time with her beautiful daughter and trying out new recipes in the kitchen.
Vanessa came to us as part of her internship through College of Marin in the Spring and Summer of 2020. We liked her so much, we decided to keep her around! Vanessa was born and raised in Sonoma and now resides in Petaluma. She is so happy to be living and working in our great Petaluma community. Vanessa says, Kids are awesome! They are so funny and have so much energy. Im happy to help make their experience a good one!
We are lucky to have a long standing relationship with the Tooth Fairy, although weve never actually seen her! We make sure to report on any teeth lost in the office, whether naturally or with a little help from us. Sometimes if shes in the neighborhood, she will leave a little treat for our patients on the back counter before they even leave the office. She is super awesome and loves our patients as much as we do! Big thanks to the Tooth Fairy for pulling the night shift for so many years!

Hands down the best pediatric dentist in town! I've taken my kids here since they were very young. I tried changing dentists for them once for economic reasons, and my kids did not feel comfortable at the other dentist's office. Dr. Ramos and his staff and office are well worth the cost (assuming one does not have any dental insurance/coverage like me). The entire staff and office in general goes above and beyond to be kid friendly and comfortable. I'm a bit sad that my kids have now outgrown their pediatric dentist.

Dr. Ramos has been my daughters only dentist, from 12 months old to now being 17 yrs old. He is thorough, to the point, gentle and professional. The waiting room is fun for kids and has games for them to play while waiting. The office is clean, modern and cheery. He referred us to a oral surgeon for her wisdom teeth removal and they were just as excellent. My recommendation spans almost 18 years and our experience has always been exceptional. Our visit to Dr. Ramos was the best dental experience that my son has ever had. My son had an infection and needed a tooth pulled. I was so anxious for my son but his team put me at ease. They were truly excellent and there was nothing to worry about. After the procedure, my son didn't even realize he had his mouth numbed or the tooth pulled. That is how skilled and caring the team is. I can't say enough good things about my son's care here.

I love coming here as does my son. He has has been comfortable with them from day one back when he was 2. As he's grown, the staff has worked well with him on teeth cleaning, on his first x-rays, and even after he took a soccer ball to the side of his face. They explain what they are doing so, even if he's apprehensive about something new, he is comfortable enough to remain calm. Definitely recommend this team for your young ones dental health needs.

Outstanding team of professionals who explain everything in a easy digestible way. No problem with follow questions either. The team explains billing questions and resolves any problems in a timely manner. Check up phone calls after procedures as well. My kids aren't afraid at this place. I drive 30 mins out of my way just to take my kids here. Great job! Keep it up! We've been going here for almost 9yrs. Love it.

Our daughter has been seeing Dr. Ramos since she was one year old, and she is a senior in high school! We have found this office to be easy to work with, and the care has been excellent. We recommend this practice without reservation.
