As a pediatric dentist, Dr. Swanson has had additional two years of specialty training in addition to the four years of dental school. There are many areas of care and prevention that are unique to children, which Dr. Swanson is specially trained to identify, treat, and prevent. Dr. Swanson's specialty training included courses in preventative dentistry, orthodontics, child psychology, the treatment of mentally and physically challenged patients, nutrition, restorative dentistry, behavior management and hospital dentistry.
Dr. Swanson's primary goal is that your child will undergo treatment without fear and pain and that your child's visit will be a happy one! Our purpose is to help your child obtain and maintain a healthy mouth. This requires a team effort between parent, child and dentist
With this unique combination of training in pediatric dentistry as well as dental anesthesiology, Dr. Swanson can use anesthesia safely in his office for children who are fearful or unable to cooperate for longer more extensive dental procedures.
Dr. Swanson spent two additional years of training solely dedicated to general anesthesia for both medical and dental procedures. His medical anesthesia training encompassed numerous surgical procedures including neurological, ENT, plastics, pulmonary, cardiovascular, abdominal, urological, obstetric, traumatic, oral maxillo-facial and other dental procedures in both an inpatient hospital and outpatient surgery centers.
Further, Dr. Swanson has also earned a Doctorate in Pharmacy (the study of the effects of drugs on the body). He also received additional anesthesia training in his other post-graduate residencies... Advanced Education in General Dentistry and in Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Swanson is well qualified to discuss dental sedation options for those that are interested in this form of treatment. while sedation options are offered they are NOT required for dental treatment.
After graduating from dental school, Dr. Swanson completed three post-graduate residencies. He completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency with the U.S. Air Force in Tucson, AZ. A two year residency was completed in Pediatric Dentistry from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Dr. Swanson received two year ofmedical training in medical/dental anesthesiology and received a certificate as aDentist Anesthesiologist from Loma Linda University in Loma Linda,CA.
Our Assistants encourage and are happy to make your child's dental visits a lifelong positive experienc. They will help provide them with healthy dental habits and building relationships with a playful, friendlty approach. Our team believes that continuing education is vital to our ability to reach every childs individual needs, inculding children with special needs.

NEVER GO HERE, EVER. Terrible dentist, i wish i could give them 0 stars. This dentist kept numbing me up on the WRONG side and doing all the work on the other side! And sometimes they NEVER numbed me up! They never listened to me and treated me like i didnt know anything! I had a friend who went here and they even PULLED THE WRONG TOOTH! If you want to be traumatized and treated like a kid this is the place to go. But if you actually want your teeth fixed DONT GO HERE, THEYLL BREAK THEM INSTEAD OF FIX THEM And the make YOU pay THEM a bunch of Money to fix them again!!!

We absolutely love Dr. Swanson's office. My son started going there when he was the 10 months old. The staff are amazing and you couldn't ask for a better pediatric dentist! I highly recommend his office.

My daughter has some anxiety about going to the dentist, but Dr. Swanson and his staff are incredible with her!! She has been a patient for 8 years and he overcome many anxieties along the way. They work hard to keep her calm and our visit is always positive. I frequently recommend this office to others.

My sons have been patients for over 16 years! Dr Swanson and his staff have always been wonderful and easy to work with. Very accommodating when we have had emergencies and we always leave with a smile.
